Yep, but aso is way better in coverage which is their primary job.............. Aso can tackle very well but not as good as woodson, woodson is bigger and stronger.
Aso is a great tackler, i remember last year he nearly took off Frank gores head. He has taken down RB's in the open with one arm tackles. BUT no Cb can conssitently take down RB in the open field. If you wacth any raider games you know how complete is.
Yes i did again, no CB can tackle a RB with a full head of steam in the open field, and the raiders CB's have to do it more then anyone duw to playing man to man. Learn some football. That link was nothing more then an anti=smear campaign against aso.
Again, manning, woodson others have stated aso is the best. Unless you think Revis could tackle Peterson in the open field< LMAO. Most LB's would have trouble.
CB's are used to support the run, no tackle RB's in the open field, which ios where these stats come from.
I think that's untrue, Champ Bailey, C. Woodson, Winfield hell some dude named Bradley Fletcher all routinely downed runners. The paragraphs specifically shot down the reasons for the missed tackles that you mentioned. Revis maybe wouldn't tackle AD but he surely doesn't miss a tackle ever 6 attempts, also he's not 6'2" 210. The people who wrote that article know more about football than both of us so, they're pretty sure of how CBs are used in run support.
Basically dude, take off the Raider shades, no one hates the Raiders or is trying to unfairly down them. They are what they are.

Don't you get it. Anyone who doesn't think Aso is the greatest is ignorant, doesn't know anything about football, and has an obvious agenda against Aso and the Raiders.
WRONG that article is pure ignorance, again, the raiders play MAN TO MAN< leaving defenders with their back turned to the play, UNDERSTAND. so what happens WHEN a RB gets past LB's? Big gains and open field. Even Woodson would struggle tackling a RB in open space. That article is totally out of context.
no, they know that is what i'm telling you. their whole approach to their grading system is to put every play in context, which is why a guy like Aso, who doesn't make a ton of picks and doesn't get thrown at can be a top corner in their system.
They assumed in that article ASO was always in position which with the raiders ******** scheme is simply not true. Raider CB's are at a disadvantage due to scheme.
How is Andre Johnson not a 99? Dude is faraway the best wide receiver in football and it isn't all that close. You can't find one flaw in his game, that in itself should solidify him as a 99 overall player.
also ware being 99 is bull****. he had like 56 tackles. he doesnt play the run for ****. thats not 99. maybe a 99 in pass rushing, but not overall.
Now I'm not a CBoys fan but I will stick up for Ware against the post quoted. Last season, DeMarcus Ware had the very best run stop rate among all linebackers at 91% of plays. He is up there with the likes of Terrell Suggs and James Harrison (both 85%). Here is the link for anyone who would like to learn more on run stop rates http://footballoutsiders.com/stat-an...top-rates-2010
I would also like to state that I do not believe Ware deserves a 99 either but a 98 would not be too far fetched
