Yeah that photo wasn't anything jaw dropping. It just showed off the HDR lighting some more with light bursts.

I give the NCAA developers a ton of credit. They raised the bar once again. Although the game will have things that look and feel familiar, they did a great job of amping up the visuals and including many sweet customizable options such as custom tracks that can be added.

Can't wait for the demo. The Pro Combats in this year's game will be awesome. I am looking forward to Va Tech's black and The U's greens...

The only way I could see a broadcast cam playable is if they went the NBA 2K11 way and let you choose if you want the L/R sticks to be camera relative or not, and I'm not sure that would happen.

I remember trying to play some games in broadcast view last gen and it was horrible. I just didn't see the appeal outside of "It looks like how it does on TV".

Having a coach mode and broadcast cam are awesome additions. The more camera angles the better for coach mode players. Combine these developments with a coaching carousel and we have something to build on here.

What do you guys think of the possibility that spectator mode will be available for OD play this year? When I say "spectator mode" I mean having the ability to watch other members in your OD play their game online. It kinda seems like the stage is being setup for it. Thoughts?

I thought they specifically talked about that and said it was in during the chat?

They didn't talk about it at all during chat since they still can't talk about dynasty and RTG until May 23rd.

That being said, the technology is there. I was able to do it quite often in EA MMA and was able to chat with people while watching people play with no lag at all.

You confusing broadcast cam with spectator mode. Those are 2 totally different things.

No I got confused because I didn't hear them mumble that it's only for CPU vs CPU games when I first watched it. sorry my bad.

obviously it's for coach mode too that's not what we were talking about

The argument is not so much if Broadcast Cam is playable or worth having.

It's the fact that they injected it without once again giving gamers the Option to choose if they want to utilize this feature.

It's about how they continue to dictate with their limitations on the game.
We still can't edit players mid-season or recruits going into it's 5 year knowing the yearly gripe about the horrible in-game generated player ratings that kills gameplay by year 5.

It's about "Gamer Customization" because of so many football perspectives/perceptions in the cookie jar.
For some reason, this has been an intimidating aspect to provide.

The Madden side has finally awaken to the concept that the more they include and allow the gamer's to customize, the better.

Sidenote:
Also, remember that we have yet to have anyone touch on the past issues the game has had in respect to Ratings/AI playing out on the field correctly.

So if these issues have not been addressed (going on 3 yrs for some stuff), how in the world will the Coach Mode have any "Replay" value when we can't even get the CPU AI to behave accordingly when we're playing against it, because of these constant issues?

So how is a Mode that pits CPU vs CPU going to play out?
-Got to address the Ratings/AI issues first before injecting a Mode that relies on these aspects to work correctly.

"Wagon before the horse" maybe?

UNLOCK Broadcast Cam for all!!!
Let the Gamer's choose.

If true, the thread title is very deceiving
I don't understand what this coach mode everyone talks about is. When I hear coach mode I think of you calling the plays, setting up the depth charts, recruiting, etc., but the CPU runs all the plays while you watch.

From my understanding, That's essentially what they've implemented. NCAA hasn't had a formal coach mode for a while now, but what you could do is turn on the Auto-pass last year, and play as a coach that way. Now it looks like they've polished it up more, but not much else.

Don't think of it as a different mode, like dynasty or RTG, but strictly as an in game "mode".

The Coach Mode a lot of us are talking about, is sort of a Career Mode. Play as a Coach, manage your team, and with success you can move on to better jobs.

Thats pretty much what we would have with this and Coaching Carousel, right? Or are you guys wanting to be coordinators then HC's, and so on?

More or less, but with the inclusion of a coaching carousel, and more detail to your coach and coaches in general, like ratings and such. It would be like the closed legacy in choops2k8, where you start small, and work your way up.
