Good, my vote worked. Rodgers out.

2 concussions in one season is enough.

If you don't vote for Peyton Hillis you are an evil evil person.

HILLIS! HILLIS! HILLIS! HILLIS!

I won't buy this game if Vick is on the cover, but if Hillis is, then I will give Madden a purchase. Vick has had his chance.

As much as I want Hillis to win, I am stupidly superstitious about the Madden curse.

If Hillis wins, this would be a biggest upset in history. This dude goes from being a throw in, in the Brady Quinn trade, to being one round away from being on the Madden cover. I still think Vick is going to win, though. Hopefully I'm wrong. Browns fans are the best fans in the world.

Hillis FTW!

This is GREAT! We can't lose now, I will vote for Hillis but, if either guy makes the cover we'll get the underdog Hillis that everyone loves and if Vick wins chaos could possibly break out amongst the people who can't get over what he did.

It's truly a win win.

I think Hillis has a great chance to make the cover against Vick...I hope anyway.

This. Plus I don't want a repeat cover athlete.

Not so much -- us haters are still alive and breathing .

It is a curveball that Rodgers didn't make it through. Then again, how coincidental is it that Hillis and Vick were the ones initially promoting the "cover vote" on ESPN and the like?

This is my point: it's too late in the game to plan an effective marketing strategy. They can't say on April 28th, hey Jamaal Charles won the cover, let's plan some effective marketing around him. With 4 months to release, this stuff has to be planned in advance, including making sure the potential cover guy has the availability to make appearances to market the game.

Are you telling me you don't think that EA couldn't develop an ad campaign around every player in the field?

EA is a multi million dollar business that has to basically market itself through ads. I'm pretty sure they had an ad campaign for every player in the field. Heck, I'd be pretty surprised if they hadn't shot all of the ads for each player, just to be safe.
