MLB 11 The Show News Post

Figured it would be better to post some news about this. After the next title update is live (date is still TBD), you will not need to restart your franchise.

I would presume the same for RTTS, correct?

Mr. Russell already stated that the same logic is used in all modes, so it can be assumed that this applies to RTTS as well.

Ironically, I have been saying the same since day one. However, I'm still wondering if there is different programing issues in terms of what's implemented in RTTS and Franchise regarding the franchise bug.

Yup, now that the OSFM rosters are out (and probably soon to have the v2's out) I can start my franchise, and start out with a slower sim schedule (play 1 sim 2, and after the patch comes out, go into a faster progress style sim (play 1 sim 5). All I have to watch for till the patch is the early trades, and the like. Which is no problem to monitor until the patch comes out.

Awesome, time to start my franchise then!

Thank you for your communication on this issue, now we can start our franchises without fear of crashing and burning. You are the best Russell, thanks for making such a great baseball game again this year.

This is great news.
I started my Cubs franchise yesterday because I didn't want to wait any longer.

Thanks!

Am i mistaken? I ask cuz it always seems like a huge question every year for EVERY title and the answer is ALWAYS the same....NO, a re-start is not required.
I think last year you had to restart with one of the patches. But that might have been mainly cause of the potentials in a roster. Don't really remember.

Either way, this is great news.

Both MLB 2K7 and MLB 09 had to, and in the case of 09, if you did the update and tried your current franchise, it would lock it up. Also, some games might not have required a restart to play, but you wouldn't get the update in an already started franchise (has happened with Madden a few times, NBA 2K, etc).

It doesn't happen often, but it's a legit question. It only takes one time getting burned to make it an issue for people...no one wants to invest time into a franchise and find out they'll lose it.

Can somebody please tell me who it is in the roster vault that customizes both MLB and AAA/AA rosters for the show?

I read it here bout a week ago but forgot which thread it was.

Also, is it up to date now?

Thanks
