iOOTP 2011 News Post

iOOTP 2011 is coming to the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch next month. Check out the details over at the official site, including a Q&A with the Developer, Markus Heinsohn. Screenshots can be seen right here.

Some of the announced features include:
  • Three game modes - Major Leagues, Fictional, and Historical - with unlimited career play:
- Major Leagues lets you take the helm of your favorite team and guide it through the 2011 season and into the future.
- Fictional offers two leagues full of fictional players and the ability to set them up with 2 divisions and 8 teams, 4 divisions and 16 teams, or 6 divisions and 30 teams.
- Historical serves up three exciting past seasons to recreate - 1923, 1965, and 2004 - with the chance to buy more in-game for just $0.99 each!
  • Action driven by the ultra-realistic OOTP game engine, letting you simulate games or play them out individually as you dictate strategies and follow the exciting play-by-play commentary.
  • An in-depth financial system that lets you trade players, negotiate contract extensions, sign free agents, draft players, move players between the active roster, minor league roster and the disabled list, and more.
  • Managerial options that include depth charts, in-game strategies such as defensive alignments and hitting tactics, and the ability to set your lineups, rotation, and bullpen.

Glad your iPod is okay.

There has to be a way to get logos because Markus mentioned it and left a winking smiley face.

Yeah, that is why I said "hinted"... just wondering it will be a third party patch or something to that effect on the iPod/Phone.

there is a Table/Bubble hockey iPhone game that lets you use custom logos. you just needed to have the logos saved on your iPhone camera roll. then in the game, you clicked to change the team logo and could choose any pics from your iPhone.

maybe something similar?

That would be awesome if it was something as simple as adding pictures from your device. Team logo’s and stadium pictures?

Here's an update - looks like we still have at least 9 more days to wait.

.................................................. ..........

"The status is still "Waiting for review"... so, no one at Apple has looked at it yet. As soon as it changes to "In Review", we'll let you know. If it is approved in the first try, we will wait to the next Thursday for the release, since this greatly increases our chance to be 'featured' on the AppStore. (Don't ask me why, I have no clue, it's what Apple told us )

Cheers,
Markus"
