Unfortunately I agree with you. Nba 2k11 is my standard that all games will be judged by. Wheather it be graphics, gameplay, presentation etc. EA has been playing catch up since 2005 when the other GAME dropped.

According your rant, 90% of the post in this thread would be off-topic as you deifined the thread to be.
Are you dictating to them also?

The post says "Visuals & Pylon Physics" which attempts to add something pertaining to Gameplay, for which the poster chided his opinion in reply to another poster, who's statement had an injection of Recruiting Balance and Gameplay stuff.

I simply acknowledged an aspect of post that I agreed with, while also notating how/why Characters like to creep out.
Then you showed up right on time as I said.

What's tiresome is folks like youself "Stalking" other gamers throughout the Forum who don't agree or see things the way you see it, and trying to dictate/direct/correct them according to your point of view.

So if your at the point were opposite opinions bother you that much, maybe you should take a break from that Forum consisting of opinions.

It's a place of opinions.
Threads consist of both pro's and con's.
Some agree, some disagree.
Some good, some bad.
Some on-topic, some off-topic.
But who are you or I to dictate to someone else in a Forum.

BTW,
I'm not about arguing Gameplay, I'm about arguing Game Engine and Full Gamer Customization, if you want to try and check me on what I so call "Complain" about.

Just Stop...Either way its a broken record. Yes the overall gameplay (Gameplay Engine) is broken...okay thats been established. What does that have to do with every thread you post in? (Speaking of Stalking...waiting to jump on anything thats not Gameplay) What does that have to do with video interview about lighting and pylons? Its not like they posted a new blog....its not like they've posted any info....so...What's there to complain about for Ncaa 12? Its a random, bootleg sounding, video chat...dang man

Wow,
Talk about running the ball in the wrong direction.
Characters!!!

Anyhoo,

Pylons physics are a good add.
I wonder what new animations will be added to allow this injection to really "POP" out during the game.

Curious if the dive button will be coded so that player reaches for it automatically when near it and at what distance will it trigger.
-I keep thinking I can dive from 5 yrds away and get there

I agree with one poster who wants to see what the Visuals will look like from the Camera Angle we will be playing from.

Would be crazy if catching ability is affected when looking back into the sun since day game lighting will be derived from the sun.

How about player physics? Size making an impact? Rushers collapsing the pocket to prevent cheesy QB run plays? A CPU that learns from the play calling? FREE Scouting reports on all teams in dynasty? Practice that matters or has direction? Dual Threat QBs? Coaching Carousel? Player discipline? Expanded roster? Receiver/DB jostling? Better Coverage? Better blocking? Realist ball physics? Catching the ball off the tip?

Its okay to see visuals and pylon physics but the they weren't that big of an issue compared to the gameplay on the field.

Looks awesome...Hopefully the Madden team is watching this....

The topic of this thread isn't gameplay, it's the visuals and pylon physics interview linked in the O/P. If you want a gameplay (or dynasty, or uniforms, or whatever) discussion, either find an appropriate thread or start one yourself. Hell, you can start an "NCAA is gonna suck, here's why" thread for all I care.

Just please stop spamming non-gameplay related NCAA threads in order to futher your agenda. It has moved well beyond being a nuisance and into serious "pain in the neck" territory.
smh... some of you are just lost. Ya like that girl who everybody in the neighborhood has had and wonder why she cant have a boyfriend. Nobody is going wife her up, because we all know what she is. Thats some of ya! The reason why on a "visual" thread people will discuss "gameplay", is because EA wont create a GAMEPLAY VIDEO!!!! They ALWAYs show visuals and " New Features" ( thats really old re hashed things from the past ). You wont see a Gameplay video posted to have the discussion and u know why? Because they will cant and wont try to fix the game play. Just like the girl everybody had, the only guy that will wife her up is the guy who either dont know no better, the desperate guy or the guy that says "well she still look good so i think i can change her". EA got a loyal "sucka fa love" audience. I'll give them that! They Marketing Team is that deal!

Out of all the things ive seen people ask for correct me if im wrong. Ive seen more people ask for Double Hit Tackling, Physics and better AI across the board for EA football games over the last 3 or 4 years. What do we get? SS, Strategy Pad, Pro Tak, Gameflow, etc. Stuff nobody has asked for and people wonder where these Sim Standard cats and all these people be coming from. All people want is EA to give up a real football game! I bought NCAA last year for first time since like 08 and the first thing i thought was yooo this looks good! I liked the Acceleration addition as well and the presentation was pretty nice. What i thought was wrong was defense and AI..... whats addressed this year? pylon physics and dreads lmao! The way its looking, ima just play 1 1 this year

You do realize it's just March and the dreads, pylon physics, etc. are just the tip of the iceberg, right?

Maybe he's new around here and missed the 1000+ post thread asking for dreads in the wishlist forum. Well either that or he's Okay with all of his players looking the same.

...Or, they won't show a gameplay video because last time I checked it is March, and the game comes out in July. My guess would be they are still working on the gameplay, so why would they post a video of alpha at best gameplay just to hear people rag on it, even though it is not the finished product. I dunno, just my two cents...

on a side note, why can't EA get a webcam that compares to the Macjinima guys? I mean, EA has the $$ to do it. that web cam was bad 10 years ago.

How else would you market it? Tell everyone the big announcements so they can get hyped up 3 months in advance then forget? That'd work..
Roggie, you could market it the other way. you could announce your biggest new feature 1st, which gets everyone geeked up. that excitement could build for 3 months, as you add on to that big feature announcement with auxillery stuff like the pylon physics, visual enhancements, dreadlocks, etc. by doing the dripping faucet thing works, it can have the reverse effect of turning off some people as they don't see major improvements early on that would keep them interested through release.

Here's an article from my experience in 2010 for the '11 title.

These presentation upgrades (dreads, arm bands etc) to me aren't improvements that merit even talking about. The fact that these kind of 'improvements' are the first thing 'hyped' means EA isn't addressing game play in a meaningful way. Or EA is reacting to the "WHERE ARE THE DREADS??!!!!" shouts first because it's easier and cheaper to do so. And the bottom line to EA is does this game make a profit? If the game did everything we wished it would do, got awesome reviews, but lost money, it's a failure. A lot of the improvements that I think the game needs are probably a heckuva lot more time & money consuming then throwing dreads and pylon physics in this years version...

While we all know EA's goal is to make as much money as possible(really what company isn't like that). I think recent history has shown us good games make the sales while bad games struggle. I do think EA is in this situation because they thought they could cut corners and people would buy the game anyways. I think/hope the light bulb has been lit and the suits realize most gamers casual and hardcore a like want the game to be as close to the actually sport as possible.

After all how many casual baseball fans play "The Show" because it a great game or casual soccer fans FIFA, NHL and so on and so on. I refuse to believe that if we can get football games that are equal to NBA 2K in a nation were football is the most popular sport the sales figures would be poor. "If you build it they will come".

I don't watch much baseball, and have practically zero interest in soccer ... yet I've played The Show since 08 and both FIFA 11 & FIFA World Cup. Those games felt so authentic and had such great gameplay that they've been a blast for me despite not being much of a fan of either sport. I'm sure there are people out there who may not be the biggest football fans but would get into a game that had gameplay comparable to The Show, FIFA, NBA 2K, NHL standard (in terms of emulating real life).

Sure, some people would stay excited. But more people would lose interest seeing less "important" upgrades as time goes on compared to those who would lose interest with a build up of smaller upgrades to the main ones at the end.

Would you rather hear about a huge update 4 months before a game came out, or a couple weeks before? Personally, I'd take it later. If I hear about it 4 months before, I'll read into it, learn all about it, then by the time 4 months roll around, the hype around it will just be gone. Having learned and studied enough about marketing, I'm in the majority in being wired this way.

they usually save the bigger stuff for media events, like the EA Draft Night Event and E3.

Pylon physics...? Is that something you really want to emphasize like it's something anyone really cares about? Of all the things that could be fixed/tweaked/added, I wonder which one of them thought that, not only that fixing the pylon physics would be a huge deal, but let's showcase it as if it's a game changing event.

I am getting a strong "wind socks" vibe after watching that video. Yikes.

1. this is not an EA video. they were asked about it and they answered. whether they told the interviewers to ask that question on purpose or not, I have no clue. either way, I don't see how anyone could take that as a "game changing" event from that video.

2. Windsocks were never promoted as a big item, it was a 1 line mention in a blog about many small details that were added for NCAA 10. people have been exaggerating that for far too long now, it's not really funny anymore.
