this was in last years version

Loved the look of the night sky (not pure black) in a part of RTTS section. Also cool to see the only baseball team in town shown during RTTS, the San Antonio Missions.

Well, the game looks great, that is for sure.

Tulo's home run was real nice, although CO doesn't shoot off fireworks after HRs or wins anymore. I was really digging the Coors Field broadcast cam, too.

As I asked in the Q&A thread, has pitch speed been toned down at all to compensate for the new Analog Batting controls? For guys like myself that have slower reaction time as is with the pitch speed slider at 0-2, I'm hoping that the pitch speed slider is more responsive so we can find our "sweet spot" in regards to speed when using the Analog controls.

Every year the same animation is back and everyone says "it's probably just an early build". Bullcrap. The recycled swing animations simply need to go.
I absolutely agree with this, Its been the same stuff for the last couple years now. I'm getting less and less excited about this game everyday. Need to switch it up a bit.

I agree...and I'm not trying to be funny.
I think you guys maybe should switch it up.
If you look at everything done to the game and can only focus in on things that were NOT changed.....IMO....you just need a totally fresh look at a baseball game.

Nice to see some shots of Target Field!

I see you guys also added the new additions in right field....the new display and scoreboard. Wow, you guys are on top of things. The new lighting makes this game just feel so much different.

Can't wait!

Man these guys are good. Can we clone them to make other sports games ha? What an impressive video

So the analog pitching is a rip from NCAA Baseball 07 right (it may have been in othe games)? I actually loved the Rock and Fire.

Yeah anyone losing excitement /interest over this game "every day" needs to just move on to something else.
Not being smart (and I know no game is perfect) but if this game hasn't shown enough to cause some major excitment then I just don't know what to say. Losing excitement each day??? Each day I see what they've improved and makes the wait unbearable.

I definitely agree with this. That's pretty much the only thing to do if you feel that way... I mean, so many good changes have been made, how can that be overlooked? I challenge them to find a better overall alternative. Challooonge!

Unbearable? I went out on the weekend after work and bought a PS3 specifically for this game. I have been stuck with the 2K series since i got my xbox in 07. I am actually bouncing off the walls for this game

I am so glad they incorporated the "Pure Swing, Fielding, Pitching" feature. This is what sold me on the game along with all the great things I have heard about it.

Cannot wait to rake with pure swing against all the button mashers.

I am really tempted to finnaly buckle down and grab a PS3 for this title. I actually really liked 2k10 last year, but the addition of analog and the way its implemented is making it really hard for me to resist. Damn, what to do? My wife would think im insane if a bought another console!

do it!!

got a sick deal at best buy. 299 for a 320G console slim, came with uncharted 2, mod nation, and a DVD remote.

Trade in some old games/consoles/etc that you don't play anymore to put towards a PS3.

To all these people that think I'm not excited about this game are wrong. I am excited but not as much as I've been in the past.

I've been playing this series since the Vin Scully days and ever since MLB 09 The Show, its been the samething. How excited can I be when things like weather, player models and skies are being "changed/improved"?

In no way am I bashing or not wanting this game, it just seems everything presitation/animation/overall wise it just hasn't changed much. Player models (although I do see a difference) isn't that much of an improvment to me. I played the crap out of MLB 09 The Show because it was WAY better overall than 08, after 09 though ehh....

Now this past year I bought both game because I wanted something different and after playing MLB 10, I returned it 2 weeks after playing because it was no different and I ended up playing the other game alot probably because it was different and a change of pace.

Now age isn't a factor because I'm 25 and baseball/sports games are the only games in my collection. I can tell the difference/details in baseball games, so who ever pointed that out is wrong.

I'm just saying I'm not impressed with what I've seen from the Show so far this year but time will only tell. Never did I say I would never get the game or not excited about it. Just losing intrest because of the lack of change.

Like they say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Is true with this series but sometimes things can get stale and its time for something new. Still love the series though and it is still the number 1 baseball game/representation of a sport in video games.

Last years game felt alot like 09 with a few slight adjustments. I have a feeling this years game will really feel like a new experience especially with all the new analog controls. Gameplay was really a major focus in this years game. RTTS looks like it will be a mode a may actually get into this year since they got rid of those rediculous in game goals. Really looking forward to the online challenge of the week, I could see this getting really addictive and costly for me. This is actually probably the most excited I have been prior to release, with the 09 release being a close second. MLB 12 will likely have little changed in regards to gameplay (albeit with a few tweaks here and there and some more work done with analog) but i'm assuming franchise will get a major facelift, something thats been needed for a few years now.
I agree with this as well, I think the only thing that makes me feel the way I do is, I'm the type person that will take presitation over gameplay. Meaning things like a national anthem before games, weekly wrap-up shows, in-game breaks complete with updates and highlights, things like that. So after 09 the gameplay could stay the same and all they would have to put in is getting those presitation things and I would be a happy camper. Still though, everybody is different and devs have a different idea on how to make a quality baseball game. Not a big deal, just not the way I see things but I still love the game for what it is.
