I think it is a age thing Knight. I would bet people in their late 30's and older when seeing this game is in baseball heaven. I am just happy to see the real stadiums and player models that is not a red or blue stick. The game looks so amazing and the wow!

To be honest, I was never really fond of the whole Analog control system, but with how it looks like it has been implemented in the game I am really anxious to try it out. I'm glad that they didn't just put it in the game a couple of years ago to compete with 2K. Looks like they worked on it, probably for a few years to make sure it was done right. SCEA never adds new things in the game unless it works properly and I am confident that the new analog controls will be awesome.

I think you guys maybe should switch it up.
If you look at everything done to the game and can only focus in on things that were NOT changed.....IMO....you just need a totally fresh look at a baseball game.

To all these people that think I'm not excited about this game are wrong. I am excited but not as much as I've been in the past.

I've been playing this series since the Vin Scully days and ever since MLB 09 The Show, its been the samething. How excited can I be when things like weather, player models and skies are being "changed/improved"?

In no way am I bashing or not wanting this game, it just seems everything presitation/animation/overall wise it just hasn't changed much. Player models (although I do see a difference) isn't that much of an improvment to me. I played the crap out of MLB 09 The Show because it was WAY better overall than 08, after 09 though ehh....

Now this past year I bought both game because I wanted something different and after playing MLB 10, I returned it 2 weeks after playing because it was no different and I ended up playing the other game alot probably because it was different and a change of pace.

Now age isn't a factor because I'm 25 and baseball/sports games are the only games in my collection. I can tell the difference/details in baseball games, so who ever pointed that out is wrong.

I'm just saying I'm not impressed with what I've seen from the Show so far this year but time will only tell. Never did I say I would never get the game or not excited about it. Just losing intrest because of the lack of change.

Like they say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it". Is true with this series but sometimes things can get stale and its time for something new. Still love the series though and it is still the number 1 baseball game/representation of a sport in video games.

I see what you are saying. I felt the someway as not much changed from MLB 06-08. Then MLB09 really had alot of improvements an added a fresh feel to the game. Last years game felt alot like 09 with a few slight adjustments. I have a feeling this years game will really feel like a new experience especially with all the new analog controls. Gameplay was really a major focus in this years game. RTTS looks like it will be a mode a may actually get into this year since they got rid of those rediculous in game goals. Really looking forward to the online challenge of the week, I could see this getting really addictive and costly for me. This is actually probably the most excited I have been prior to release, with the 09 release being a close second. MLB 12 will likely have little changed in regards to gameplay (albeit with a few tweaks here and there and some more work done with analog) but i'm assuming franchise will get a major facelift, something thats been needed for a few years now.

I agree with this as well, I think the only thing that makes me feel the way I do is, I'm the type person that will take presitation over gameplay. Meaning things like a national anthem before games, weekly wrap-up shows, in-game breaks complete with updates and highlights, things like that. So after 09 the gameplay could stay the same and all they would have to put in is getting those presitation things and I would be a happy camper. Still though, everybody is different and devs have a different idea on how to make a quality baseball game. Not a big deal, just not the way I see things but I still love the game for what it is.
