the defense kind of got worse to me, my running game dominates even more now.

Overall vs. the cpu on All-Pro the game feels faster. I have not found it difficult to run counters, draws, or out of the shotgun (with the Eagles). Actually the cpu defenses' aggressiveness oftentimes gets defenders caught in the wash enabling you to break runs.

Play action is fine. Just call plays at the right time. Maybe it's just my imagination but the pass rush from the right defensive end seems to be better.

It's not your imagination, the Right DE does have a lot more power and pressure now, along with the Right DT. Guess they really wanted us to focus on our blind side protection.

Over all the whole line gets more pressure, but more so from the defensive right side, which would be our left.

When I played the demo , and then Madden retail for like an hour after I bought it - it had this. Do you mean to tell me they patched it IN to NCAA? Ugh...I just want to play football .

Not sure what roster you're playing with, but the Panthers should have a dominant run game with two 90+ rated HB's

btw, like your sign - but it should say better "Luck" next year... LOL

This is another thing that killed my Madden buzz. I think I'm going to fire it up tonight and check this out.

Counters don't work, get blown up in the backfield

Toss runs don't work, defenders get in the backfield too fast

Running out of the shotgun don't work, blown up in the backfield.

DT, DE and at least 1 linebacker gets into the backfield 2 seconds after you snap the ball and that is on NON BLITIZING PLAYS.

Every time I snap the ball with Brady 2 linemen are instantly in my face.

The only running plays that has a chance of working is the dives and power O.

From what I seen only one game, the only thing this patch did was eliminate the cheese plays passes that goes out to the RBs, FBs and 5 yard out routes people do online. Streaks, deep post routes, hell anything deep open all day.

If you can avoid the rush, which I hope people have gotten good with the evade stick and have a speedy WR, it will be bombs away. 1 on 1 coverage, the DB always get beat.

All Madden Play now against the Jags.
Best thing with the toss play is pick the play first. If the AI D is overloading the side you are running to. Hit the rightstick to the left or right to change the running pattern which way it was going to at first to the other side where the overload ain't and then motion your tightend over o the other side and you should be able to run the toss with some success. Depending on strong and fast and good that D is tho.

For as the Shotgun set goes. What the problem is with shotgun is one you are forced to dropback 3 steps before taking control of the QB and also the pass rush blocking in Shotgun set is pretty much crappy. The pass rush blocking for Shotgun has to be redone and the Auto QB dropback passing needs to go aswell.

did they add the feature to make edits to players in offline franchise?

# 30 PantherBeast_OS @ 12/14/10 02:19 PM
Here are my thoughts on the update. The AI D is somewhat been dumb down. You can now lob passes downfield to your WR and most of the time he is going to catch it and you also have more time in the pocket. To much time to be honest. But the User D got smart for some reason and I kind of like it but blowing out the AI no fun. I like it better before the patch. All pro Default sliders with patch 1.05 makes is more easy to play agaist the AI overall. They really need to work on AI this coming year and make it better. Hmm feel like there is no challenge now agaist the AI unless I try playing on all madden. The AI D gives ups to many easy plays in the middle of the field now unlike before the patch. Hmmm If anyone comes up with some good sliders to make the AI good again on all pro settings. Please let me know.

Any user vs user results? That's all I care about seeing as how I run an online franchise.

# 32 blackrob1112 @ 12/14/10 02:37 PM
Is there any difference online, haven't seen anyone talk about it , USER vs USER is it still way to easy to get sucked in on a draw play while the hb automatically gets a boost in agility and acceleration, or does the defense react accordingly. The draw is probably one of the biggest exploits in the game. It doesn't work every play but when it does its a least 5 yard per play depending on your defense.

Is the AI in this game less frustrating (line backers jumping 6 feet to swat passes, psychic dbs, useless pumpfakes, Instant PA sack) than in NCAA. I am dying for some football but NCAA is so frustrating in those regards.

After thoroughly enjoying Madden 11 for months, but finally getting frustrated with the issues with special teams, blocking and defense, i was really excited to try this out. We had a user vs user game, all-madden with a friend.

Texans - Ravens was something like 40-40 going in 3rd quarter, and all the TD's we're hb's or te's running flats or defenders that seemed to just glitch and not react to the ball or the ballcarrier at all.

If anything, the game played way worse than before. We quit the game on the end of 3rd quarter, it was no fun at all. Next time i touch Madden is Madden 12. I love the game, and its wonderful that they put the effort in to try and fix stuff, but this really didnt work. Left a bad taste in my mouth.

All Pro has been a joke in all madden games since the first one. It is what it is. I know people tend to say that All Pro is what ea uses and blah blah blah. but the a.I on that level is beyond dumb and if you tweak sliders on All Madden then you will get a real good sim experience

No SLider changes can make All Pro a challenge...It has always been like that and it remains like that
I'm gonna have to disagree with you on this one. Your statement does not pertain to everyone. Not everyone is as skilled as you so therefore the experience they have will not have the same results. I for one have roughly 50/50 win-loss vs the cpu.

I've used PM's sliders and the challenge is there for me. I don't use house rules I play a sim game through and through. I bet you can tweak sliders on Pro and get a sim like exp depending on your skill level. Your above statement is debatable. Peace!!!

All Madden is garbage, all it does is give you an unrealistic challenge. On all madden all the players play above their ratings/attributes so even the garbage players play better. You can easily get a great experience on all pro if you play a sim game. Just because it isn't to you doesn't mean it isn't to others.

My observations after playing one game with the patch... Ravens (me) vs Steelers (cpu), all-pro, default settings, gamespeed on normal

- There seems to be more dropped passes now. I had a few wide open WRs who dropped money passes. They always caught those passes pre-patch 1.05.
- Play Action appears to be a little harder, but not impossible. Smart defenders will sniff it out & get in your face immediately.
- Running seems a little easier for both the CPU & User, but the long runs seem less. What I mean is... it appears easier to get 5-8 yard gains, but harder to break off the long run.
- Defenders react quicker. Lots of tipped/batted away passes for both CPU & User.
- Defenders seem to be in better position to make the play. There is lot of tight coverage + the quicker reaction times.
- Blitzing seems a little better. You have to make quicker decisions than before.

Overall, it does make the defense better & presents more of a challenge when trying to move the ball. It should help with User vs User games. But playing against the CPU, it does not change the game much. Good players will still almost always beat the CPU.

The final score in my game was Ravens-22, Steelers-7. It was a defensive struggle until the 3rd quarter, when I completed a 54 yard screen pass to Rice to set up a 1 yard TD run to make it 19-0 & "put the game out of reach".

Alright back to topic.

I play All-Pro with Playmakers pre post season sliders. I play with the no switch rule on defense as well as no user catches or user picks unless the player I chose has theball come to them then I will go for the user pick. I play a pure sim game and I don't exploit the cpu. I call a very diverse playbook and rarely audible or hot route if ever.

So with that said I went home for lunch (yes I am that close to my office) downloaded the patch and fired up my chise.

Dolphins vs Bills

I crushed them (as I should have) 42-17. However the game was 21-17 at the half.

I noticed 2 things. My RE and ROLB had much more zip in their pass rush. I was finally able to get sacks. Cameron Wake had 2 and Koa Misi had 1. 5 total sacks...hope that is not the norm but it was great to have a pass rush...so I can see some tweak downs of my pass rush and tweak up of the cpu pass blocking.

All in all...very pleased.

This is not NCAA football. You dont see crazy beatings in the NFL. and that is all you get on all pro.

I'm actually starting to warm to this process. I have been stuck on pro for so long almost blindly (granted I play with the Rams), but there are too many unrealistic thrashings. When I use the Eagles on pro with custom sliders, the CPU doesn't stand a chance.
