Understandably not a great amount of detail, but I do think this is a good idea and I'd listen to more in the future should they divulge further details about Madden 12 and beyond.

It's a good starting point.

I really hope they go back and play madden 2005, they could just use that same franchise mode.. Its miles ahead of the current one..

Agree 100% It allowed you to set ticket and concession prices and it had restricted free agents (bring back the '05 hit stick too)

Link fixed. The other link stopped working, for some reason.

Still not working for me. I see the podcast there, but it's not playing.

They could do better than 05 franchise, at least I hope. Franchise needs to be on par with Head Coach 09.

Good initial podcast.

Especially the insight into why it's difficult to get bigger rosters and fix IR and stuff.

Promising to hear Ian talk about working on the fundamental modes as well, assuming that means Superstar and offline Franchise mode

Can't wait til the next one, how often do you guys plan on doing a podcast?

Ian's a good dude and is trying, he gets a bad rap. Not that it's totally unwarranted... "the buck stops here", so to speak, but he's up against a lot and he's working toward the same things we want. I think if there were 200 Ians on the team, we'd have a hell of a game.

He mentions in the podcast that the "suits" don't make the decisions... no, but they sure as hell provide the budget, and that's a roadblock too.

Exactly. Plus, he mentioned marketing is in on the decision making process.

THE 10 Commandments! GAMEFLOW!!!!

He mentioned real time physics, i would much rather see the evolution of Pro-Tak tho.

I dont mean to be critical but i would rather the devs just focus on making the game. Next year when the game comes out we'll ask about something that wasnt included and someone will tell us "sorry man we ran out of time. "

I rather have some info vs no info, plus, as the podcast said, you aren't going to please every single person out there.

It's impossible.

Nice to see you guys reaching out to the community. And cheer's for putting Matt Stafford on the first post.

I wouldn't mind hearing about the development of some of the current features, or maybe the presentation. I think you guys did a great job with that this year, and I hope to see that continue.

My tweet: "Are you hoping do this once a week, once a month? Thanks!"

Ian's tweet: "pretty regularly...not weekly but consistent. We should get it hooked up with iTunes soon."

Are you sure the link is working???
410-Gone was my answer...

Either way, I hope they immediately dove back into working on the game after filling us in.

I really really liked it.

Like mentioned before i know they cant talk details but it was nice to get the official word on the direction they want to take and answered good questions.

GO Franchise M12!

The more podcast the better keep them cumming!

That's very unfortunate. In my Utopian dream world, marketing would be 100% answerable to the design and/or gameplay team with zero imput on new features or modes.

Its my opinion that marketing has been a big fat albatross around the neck of EA's football and basketball development teams.

Does 2K's marketing department weigh in on development?
