"We can confirm that Gran Turismo 5 will not be available this November 2nd, but the game’s release will be coming this holiday season.
We sincerely apologize to GT fans for the delay, however, creator Kazunori Yamauchi and the team at Polyphony Digital want to make certain they are creating the perfect racing experience, and we are confident that this ambitious game will exceed expectations when it launches.
We’ll have more information for you in the near future."
I won't mind that, at all. I'm still tryna get caught up on my gaming purchases, a bit, towards the end of the month plus I want The Fight for the Move, the most, which comes out on 10/28. Still need Fifa 11, Tiger Woods 11 (wow, the Move makes a difference playing that game), Monopoly Streets and Eyepet (hehe) plus Black Ops (still gotta finish MW2 - lol) and Assassin's Creed 3 comes out next month. Feels like I'm leaving a game out but oh well.

Oh, yea, Castlevania is what I left out. Sheesh, I need another job just to supply my gaming fix. Lol
I really don't mind all of these delays, but for their sake I think they should just hold off on an announced date until they're sure of when they're finished with it.
Hmmm, saying holiday season is very vague, I guess it'll get delayed again and will keep on getting delayed until Poliphony realizes they cannot create the perfect racing experience.
As bad as this sounds, I am fine with this. This month alone has been killing me with releases and next month we have COD + I'm considering getting God of War Ghost of Sparta too...................so this would be perfect for an early/mid December release imo for my own selfish reasons.
Just release the damn game already. It looks awesome, I'm sure it plays awesome, just be happy with that and get it out the door. What is another six weeks going to do for this game?
F1 2010 is a great game, it has bugs yes, but the major one can be worked around until they release the patch.
I don't know whether I'm surprised or not that it's delayed. F1 2010 has gotten hammered by some, mostly sim racers I think, because of it's bugs. I guess Sony wants it to be perfect when it comes out. But hey, since it is Sony they should be able to patch it for free through PSN, right? By the way, does anyone remember when the original release date was suppose to be? lol
I just hope it lives up to what it is being hyped to be, otherwise it may hurt sales of this one or GT6 since it has taken 5 years to make this one.
Thank you Polyphonal. So many new games + poor college Freshman = little to no money at all.
At least this gives me a bit more time to save up some money
Wouldn't it be better if it released now, then in a couple months you could find a deal for it for $10-15 bucks cheaper or be able to buy used and save that way?
one thing im not following is the idea that it's good to delay the game because it allows more time to save up money for the game. How so, lol? Irregardless of the release date, if a person needs to save up money for a game they'll still have to save up if the game is out or not. lol
