NBA 2K11 News Post

OS will be at the NBA 2K11 launch party in New York City at the famous Hudson Terrace tomorrow night! We have both Steve Bartlett and Mike Carraggi attending the event tomorrow night! The party will be packed with several NBA players, celebrities and musical guests. This is usually a big event and 2K is promising this year's event should be pretty eventful.

We will get the opportunity to interview Derrick Rose, Rajon Rondo, Russell Westbrook, Andre Iguodala and Josh Smith, among other people. So if you want to get a question answered, be sure to leave a line here or by tweeting Steve Bartlett @Hurricane414.

Brothers,

In one of the video, you notice that 2K SPorts Engineers no longer implement the team ratings system of the past. Now they have team rankings. That is a nice touch in my honest gracious opinion.

It was a pretty nice event. I didn't stay long, I came @ about 9:30 and left around 11. I was about to push the girl that was with Cassidy off the arm of the damn couch, she was sitting there for hours just taking up space not even attempting to play the game.

I booked it out of there though. There were a few people who saw me get the game and I knew they all had alcohol in their system. I grabbed my bags and made a slow jog to the A train.

Got to meet Sage. Common was great too. I didn't stay for his entire performance though.

Overall a pretty sweet event.

edit: Oh, how could I forget. Idk if it was mentioned but if you got a bag there was a NICE poster in there. Gonna put it up and try to get a picture of it. It's a picture of young MJ with his hands spread out, I forgot the tag line on it though. I'll edit this post.

Yup, that's it. Only he's holding a PS3 Controller. It says "BECOME THE GREATEST" behind him, NBA 2K11 in the bottom right.

A PS3 controller? Photoshoped? But his hands are huge, it'll look like me holding a tennis ball...

It looks pretty good imo. I put my phone on it so you can see how big the poster is.

Cool! I wonder whose hand they used to replace MJ's... Or maybe they took some shots of MJ's hand, or him holding a PS3 controller. I love doing stuff like that!!!

You got the game?

Some 2K guys probably wondered where 15 coppies of the game had gone...

Nice. So you're more important than Derrick Rose. Congrats! lol

One thing I always like about Rose, despite all the money he has, he still dress the same way like he did when he was in high school. Just laid back.

Word. And seems like cameramen are still missing in the ps3 version.

Not meant as a low blow, but would you rather they take out a ref instead to run 60?

Yeah I saw Joe Johnson in a club in Miami and he was the most lowkey guy there... he had on jeans and a white tee just laid back in the VIP section.

Haha no!

But I feel it's strange this even pushed the ps3 version so much when it's the inferior of the 3 (judging by the demo). I left my 360 in another country and there was no demo on pc so all my 2K11 gaming time was done on ps3 and gotta say from watching other people's video's playing on xbox360, it seems lacking in colours, smoothness and other little details.

No big deal though, still waiting for pc version news
