Gamespot has just posted their NBA 2K11 hands-on preview, detailing Michael Jordan-specific content.
They've also posted some new Michael Jordan "Tongue" screenshots.
Quote:
"Michael Jordan. Sadly, that name might not mean much to younger fans of the NBA, particularly in an era where the most talented stars hold hour-long TV specials to announce which team is going to pay them more than the last. Still, Michael Jordan is arguably the greatest to play the sport of basketball, and his appearance on NBA 2K11's cover--according to developer Visual Concepts--is not only a celebration of that, but also an opportunity to expose the current generation of Kobe and LeBron fans to a man who took the NBA to a whole new level. To be clear, Jordan is more than NBA 2K11's cover athlete. In fact, there are a couple of modes in the game that specifically focus on number 23 and his career."
Yeah, definitely a must. I guess I'll have to go with the elbow pad if it's not in the game. PS2 version still has it perfect, though...
Thats crazy to think they got that right in the PS2 but for some unknown reason cant get it down pack in the next gen you kno. Im all about accessories & dont care what ppl say about. They gotta get that right or at least get us the option to do it.
(deep breath) THISGAMEISGONNABEFLIPPINAWESOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMME !!!!!!!!!!1
Oh man, my gf is really gonna hate me and this game, I don't know how in the hell am I suppose to play this and COD: Black Ops......
HAHA!! same here man!!! this game is going to be amazing!
Yes, there are couple more, and also couple of none-Jordan ones.
And here's what I was talking about:
Joe Generic Blows! And what's going on with the bottom of his shorts? In all seriousness though, really kinda sad to see a generic person in a screenshot.
I know I'm obviously in the minority, but am I the only one who doesn't care about MJ at all. The only thinig i'm excited for that is brought on by his presence is the ability to use Seattle and Patrick Ewing. It'd only be better if somehow Reggie Miller (My favorite all-time player) was on here as well.
Wow. Look how short Jordan's shorts are even in mid to late 90's. I don't think MJ EVER had knee length shorts during his Bulls career like 2K has them in this game. They need to be shortened by a good 2-4". Way too baggy and makes him looks stocky and kind of clunky. Other than that the player model is really superb - particularly the 96-98 Jordan in the game.
