"One thing to keep in mind here with this mode is that you will be with rookie Michael, who will only be rated a 79 to start out with. This leaves you with plenty of room to improve his overall rating as you guide him towards super-stardom. I can tell you that his physical skills and general athletic ability are through the roof, but you’re going to need to build his outside shot, his defensive prowess, and his unmatchable killer instinct in the clutch before you can take him to ‘best ever’ status. You can build up Michael’s rating by earning Skill Points and spending them on the attributes of your choice. These Skill Points are earned by in-game stats and accomplishing in-game goals set forth by the game.
The presentation for the mode is centered entirely around Michael. The entire menu system has been branded to feel Jordan-centric. The in-game presentation will speak a lot about Jordan’s rise to the NBA early and how he will fit into the team you have chosen for him. From there, they will call out important milestones for Michael and discuss how his season/career is progressing moving forward. I have seen some discussion about whether this replaces the popular My Player mode from 2K10. It absolutely does not, I will be speaking about My Player in the coming weeks in a Developer Insight."
I don't understand the logic in releasing screens from older builds of the game.
Every time there's a criticism with the look, I hear, "Don't worry--We fixed that since then," as if we're supposed to take their word for it. Why not just show us a more recent build in the first place?
Images and any media go through an approval process. It's not as simple as screengrabbing an image now and 5 minutes later it's out in public. There's always a turnaround time with these things, unfortunately, which can't be helped.
The pic looks dope....all things considered, 2K has done very well with MJ's face and look. As far as insights go, lets move on to more game play things. I think most people will agree when I say it is awesome to have Jordan and the Bulls and all the other Jordan-related things in the game, especially during this time when the graphics look amazing and the games are made they way they are now. However, the gameplay has to holdup. The commentary is essential, the stadium sounds is essential, etc. I don't doubt that 2K will bring all of the elements together and make a great game, but 1 game mode does not make a game (unless you Modern Warfare).
I surely hope the very next insight will be about the association....I love playing the association but I think things like practice within the game mode (live practice not that other mumbo jumbo they call practice), something that resembles an all star weekend even if you can't call it all star weekend, it should be in association, more player movement options i.e. 4-5 team trades, trades involving cash, trades involving pieces to be named later, buy out options for bad contracts, trade exemptions, better a.i. for the cpu when doing player movement.... the deals they make, make me wonder wth..****mor mill that makes better sense (when speaking of players on the bubble, the short dialogue that follows should mirror an actual rumor feed).
Thats probably too much to ask for but one can hope right?
P.S. the sound track 2K10 wasn't too bad, I'm sure 2K11 sounds nice as well, but for PS3 owners, we'd like to be able to use our music stored on our systems the just like 360 owners did last year (fingers crossed)
Then there's something wrong with the system. Work towards changing it if you can. I dont see why a screenshot approval process would take a long time especially where you have an inferior screen shot being replaced with a superior one.
Then again logic is a lost concept in the business world.
It's just one of those things. It's always been like that and they just work within the parameters. There's not a whole lot they can do about it, except to verify that some things may have in fact been updated in the meantime (which they have done).

Seriously? Take a seat, man. These guys are going out of THEIR way to provide us these pictures and info. Enjoy what we are given.

lol, I like how you're acting as if they're doing us a FAVOR by releasing info and screens. They have a freaking product to sell, of course they're going to have to give us glimpses of the game.
I appreciate the answer, JSapida. Though I hope you understand my confusion. I respect the dev team, so I really don't get why some of the people who have seen the game up close seem to hint that we're getting "ancient" footage at this point.

For real man, the fiends would be mad if we didn't get any info, pics, or Momentous sizzle trailers at all.
I understand nitpicking the images themselves. It gives the dev team something to motivate 'em to continually improve their products, but I'd rather not see people get too carried away with it.

Obviously part of the reason of their interaction with us is to push their product. I'm talking about the ones coming on here and basically telling the guys how to do their job. My previous post wasn't directed at you. I asked the same question you did in another thread. JSapida gave you an honest and very informative explanation. But the other guy chimes in and basically says "well fix it". There's a difference between constructive crit/nitpicking/suggestions and being borderline offensive and biting the hand that feeds you.

Chill out dude
He's a dev not a marketing coordinator. His job is not to explain the process to you, and furthermore you guys chill out going nuts over a picture to the point where you decide to get a little overzealous

Nice, let's hope they fix the colors of the shoes etc. going forward for release. Looks like the shoes are a shade or two off from what they should be. Nice pic though.
