NHL 11 Demo Available Now, Post Your Impressions Here (360, PS3)

EA Sports NHL 11 demo is now available on Xbox LIVE and the PLAYSTATION Network. Powered by a revolutionary real-time physics engine, the franchise that has won 22 sports game of the year awards over the past three years will showcase two game modes in the demo: Battle for the Cup and the all-new Hockey Ultimate Team.

Battle for the Cup:

In Battle for the Cup, players will experience all the emotion and drama of the third period of Game 7 of the Stanley Cup� Championship between the Philadelphia Flyers and the Chicago Blackhawks. The mode features an all new faceoff system, new quick dekes and the ability to score amazing goals even while lying on the ice.

Hockey Ultimate Team:

The all-new Hockey Ultimate Team brings Online Dynasty play to the EA SPORTS NHL franchise for the first time ever. In the demo, players will be able to pick up a starter pack of cards to build their Ultimate Hockey Team. Take your new team to the ice and play against either the Canadian Hockey League�s Windsor Spitfires, or the NHL�s Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers. Play and win games in the demo with your Ultimate Team and earn up to two additional packs in the full version of NHL 11, when it is released on September 7, 2010.

The demo will also feature an interactive tutorial that will allow those new to the franchise to learn the controls, and allow long-time fans to practice some of the new controls in the game, including Faceoffs.

It's a Be a GM related announcement. I don't want a Be a ref mode anyway.... that would be the biggest gimmick of all gimmicks.

what about be a fef mode in online play to totally screw over your buddies in true gary bettman fashion.

i know.

the demo is great and all, but i am too depserate to play a full 30min+ game. i know it will be so special.

considered renting nhl 10 (never owned it or played it massively) but the real time physics make this game much more fair,even and fun. and tahst the main reason im desperate for nhl 11, the fact theres less ai involved and more just the puck pohysics when shooting and blocking etc.

I'm a BAP High camera user for OTP and I agree with Jason's evaluation. I like it because it keeps my guy and the puck on screen, which is great for maintaining good positioning. I hate it because of the swing and occasional issues with depth perception due to the nature of the camera. I tired to go to other cameras and use the back button to change the focus as needed, but was never comfortable with the results.

If only there was a way for me to make a camera similar to BAP high without the darn swivel...

i think this game going to be amazing i haven't touched it yet but i hope the controls going to be better then the last 2 i hate the shooting and how its setup.

The shooting is the exact same, and frankly the best controls of any sports game I think. Also there's typically a "classic" control option. What don't you like about it?

Love it, but bring back the old arena announcer. The new one sounds like he's 9 years old and I hate him.

The custom cameras only work from the end to end style cameras, not the side (broadcast) view. (Please don't kill the messenger).

G'job Redshirt on the stat overlays I've seen in the demo vids I've seen...

its really gonna add a lot to Be-a-GM.

So sick of using this awful Manual Passing junk and slow *** game speed. September 7th can't come fast enough.
