NCAA Football 11 News Post

Just received a patch for NCAA Football 11.

Will update this post when an official fix list has been revealed, but until then, here are a few things that were possibly fixed, based on the NCAA Football 11 blog, a while back.

What are you seeing?

UPDATE: Based off feedback. Patch for NCAA Football 11, seems to have an issue with player attributes not updating, after training. (This could be a 360 only issue, still testing)

UPDATE #2: New tuner update fixes the progression issue on 360.

UPDATE #3: Post your impressions here.

Quote:
"-- RANDOM PLAY ACTION CRAZINESS - Sure it looks funny, but annoying as heck when it costs you a drive or a game. We're sorry we missed this one as well and apologize for the issue.

-- SEASON SHOWDOWN STATS REPORTING - The season showdown warning is harmless right now and this issue and related lobby problems ultimately get fixed with the update.

-- UNIFORMS THAT NEVER NEED WASHING - This is one of the more painful ones for us given all the work on visuals this year. The game actually does degrade uniforms; unfortunately we broke something in a final build that made the impact way too subtle. Consider this one solved with the update. And we want you to know that we've really been enjoying the great "Art of NCAA Football" threads. It's clear we have some incredible photographic talent in our community! So I expect things will go next-level when the update rolls out."

Last year, NCAA had 3patches. So hopefully, theres another one to come this year or if it can be fixed by tuner set, thats good too.

NCAA 10 had 3 patches.

I'm usually not a chicken little poster, but to rid the dynasty of training is to kill the dynasty.

I can deal with minor progression, but zero just kills it.

I thought I read there is no limit on the number of the patches, but past two patches the company has to pay a fee to Microsoft to release another patch. At this point unless it can be fixed without a patch, they would really have no choice but to release another one.

NCAA 10 did have three patches.

Unfortunately, the CPU RB still runs up the middle of covering the ball for 25 yards. Just looks silly as hell.

I stand corrected. If this can't be fixed via tuner, then a patch 3 will have to come sooner or later you'd think. Or they do that crazy recall of patch 2 then release it later when it's ready. I don't think there's any way this can go unfixed though.

Absolutely no way they ignore this. I mean, this pretty much breaks the most important mode in the game. Maybe I am wishful thinking but I would think that they would as quickly as possible to fix this issue.

Is the online dynasty website down for you guys too?

It not only looks silly, it allows you to run him down. The CPU should score on most of those plays and yet you get the stop and can keep them out of the endzone. Disappointing.

At work, so I havent downloaded, but hoping we can get a list of what was fixed, what was broken (gah) and when that will be fixed.

no, but they are doing maintenance of the servers right now I believe.

The servers are supposed to be down for about 20 minutes starting at 9 Eastern. This from a post by Russ on EA's forums.

If that hasn't been fixed and isn't announced as soon to be fixed, then I might return this game. Tecmo Bowl had better rushing AI than this. The original Tecmo Bowl.... 1987.

I only played one game but it almost seemed worse than pre-patch on the PS3.

It would be awful nice to get list of what this patch was supposed to fix.

Lmao. This made me laugh. It's so true, though.

360 here too.

Played several practice games in downpour conditions and no uniforms got dirty. I even had a computer read option play that got stuck in the animation of standing in the shotgun and trying to handoff to the running back. Haven't tried to check progression, but I assume that is screwed up too.

Did anyone get a tuning update for 360?

I'm going to sim one season and see if progression is fixed..

yup, got it too. I'm going to do the same.

So I downloaded a new tuning update as well right after I signed onto the servers, after I started the game upon downloading the patch. Anyone else get a new tuning package? Sorry if it's already been discussed.

On PS3 btw.

Missed it by that much.

# 119 seawolves9 @ 08/11/10 10:21 AM
I'd cry if they fixed this already.
