"For gameplay you should notice that larger players cannot jump as high to swat down passes making things look and feel more authentic. In Dynasty mode, it means two things. First, the majority of the teams in Dynasty will be slightly better than before due to having access to higher rated Prospects and slightly better progression. Second, CPU teams will do a much better job of accurately filling their rosters."

Yeah, it's all a ruse to get you to use your online pass...

Russ, being in the software business I really applaud your efforts to come here and face the mostly clueless masses and pass along information - I know it is not always the easiest job.

Can't wait to hear more info on the Mid-August Patch and any other Tuner Sets you guys release. Good work, keep it up!

Thank you for stepping to the plate and delivering need changes.

Simmed three seasons or so. Seems better, but I still am seeing a decent number guys in the u 40s and lower 50's. A little concerning.

I'll think I am going to test sim a little bit, with the 1* and 2* teams and see how many recruits are in that range. As long as it's only a couple on each team it may not be that much of an issue. Still think that is too low of a floor to have the lower recruits at though.

Russ or anyone can you please tell us if you need the online pass code to download tuner sets?

I bought my game from gamestop and my online pass say invalid everytime I enter it in. The game was resealed because the box was a display and I'm thinking those stupid gamestop employees used the online pass already and I don't want to shell out another 10 bucks for one.

Don't know if I should start a new dynasty today, or wait for the patch in a few weeks. Enjoying the game, but would hate to restart dynasty mode yet again when the patch is out

Big thanks to Russ and EA. Adding tuner sets should yield huge returns. This looks to have hit a good number of issues, and with at least one patch on the way and another tuner set, this should set the game up for even more success.

Given that the tuner set can and willbe applied to existing dynasties, is there any reason to start over? Seems like while it doesn't affect the generated recruit class as far as ratings, it will catch them up to speed based on progression and such.

Seems the only "pro" to restarting is the CPU not going after 5 QB's or something.

Thanks again guys

Thank you EA!!! I'm very happy to hear that teams wont stock pile a position anymore when recruiting... i just wish Alabama would give back their 4 Five star quarterbacks they signed the first two years of my dynasty......

You're probably going to need to call EA about that one.

I just simmed a season, and i was shocked by the final top 25 poll

whether or not this is a good thing, or a bad thing I'm not quite sure yet

the top 10

1.Boise - National champs
2. TCU
3. Wisconsin
4. VT
5. WVU
6. Nevada
7. Georgia
8. Washington
9. Oregon
10. Arkansas

I was blown away by this. Alabama went 8-5 and isn't even in the top 25! They tweaked some sort of logic here, to keep Teams like bama winning 50 straight games, but they may have gone overboard.

other notable teams

Lsu finished 6-7 florida finished 5-7

Oklahoma finished 10-3 Texas 9-4 - - Kansas State won the big 12 going 12-2

OSU 10-3 Iowa 10-3 Wisconsin 10-2

Whether or not this trend will continue, I don't know. I want surprise teams, but i mean wow, why did the 3 best teams in the SEC have such a terrible year?

Thank you so much Russ!
Just opened my laptop to do some work at the local coffee shop. Looks like I'm gonna have to go home and continue my dynasty instead!

I just want to tell you that as a lifelong NCAA fan, I'm so impressed with EA right now. The game rocks this year, and you guys seem so intent to fix all the problems we've found in the shipped version. Great job man. You guys are rad!

I don't think this has anything to do with the tuner file. I'm simming right now and Alabama is crushing, they've had multiple heisman winners and have gone 56-0 so far.

Florida and LSU doing bad in dynasties was fairly commonplace pre-tuner. There was even a thread on here about how Florida usually performs poorly. And I've seen both schools routinely go like 6-6 year after year.

Every one in the SEC beat up on each other, Boise and Nevada didn't play each other, the rest looks good though.

What an amazing job you guys have done this year, Russ. Such a great job all around, I'm really impressed. Great game, great service.

I agree that is odd, but LSU's schedule is ridiculous and Florida has a new qb so who knows what happened there. As for Alabama, I don't know. Maybe the McElroy got injured or something. But I agree the top 25 is abnormal.

From the EA LTP1 post:
"• The Awareness of a player does NOT affect his ability to Run Routes, Play Defense, or Block. Each of those have their own ratings that drive how good the player is:"

If awareness doesn't effect the player in the above regard, then what does awareness actually effect?

Hm. I simmed to Week 6 of my Dynasty after the LTP (that's where I was this morning), and Alabama and OSU are so far # 1 and #2, respectively, both undefeated. Also, OU is still undefeated and Boise has lost one. So unless these teams fall off massively in the second half, mine should be normal.
