EA Delivers Ultimate Gameday Experience With Madden NFL 11 Soundtrack

Classics by AC/DC, Ozzy Osbourne, Guns N’ Roses and More Highlight New Edition of ‘Most Influential Soundtrack in Videogame History’

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) today unveiled the music track listing for Madden NFL 11. This year’s soundtrack features 23 tracks that recreate the ultimate live gameday experience via a collection of crowd favorites, stadium classics, and official NFL team fight songs.

After 10+ years of being a foremost showcase for introducing new artists – including Franz Ferdinand, Avenged Sevenfold, Bullet For My Valentine, Yellowcard, Wolfmother, Jet, The Bravery, B.o.B., Good Charlotte, OK GO, Fallout Boy and 30 Seconds To Mars – the Madden NFL 11 soundtrack focuses on stadium authenticity with classic fan-favorites by AC/DC, Queen, KISS, Ozzy Osbourne (including his new hit “Let Me Hear You Scream”), Guns N’ Roses, The Hives, Gary Glitter, Blur, Ying Yang Twins and Todd Rundgren. These are the classics that consistently bring NFL crowds to their feet. It’s an exciting new audio direction for Madden NFL, one that we know all fans will respond to. Im a little disapointed that the HERE WE GO STEELERS, HE WE GO chant isnt in the game and also Renegade by Styx (all real Steelers fans know ALL about that) But at least the HEATHHHHHH chant is incuded in M11. Theres always next year for the Steelers chant and Renegade, Im also gonna be hoping for the crowd waving terrible towels, a sea of them just like in real life (everything you see on Sunday?) anyway game looks great, cant wait

Here We Go Steelers is in the game, I was going to post a link on youtube but I know the TOS.

I understand that there are team specific fight songs included in the soundtrack but will it play properly during a game? For example, when the Skins score a TD, after an extra point, or after a FG, will it play Hail to the Redskins? Or will it just play when you are in the menu. I'm not trying to start a flame war but in NFL 2K5, you could do custom soundtracks and play whatever you want to play after a certain play so yeah. I had HTTR. I had the Monday Night Football soundtrack, etc.

lol... so them not being able to put it in the game due to licensing issues is their fault?

They should have put it in anyway?

Miami has the Dolphins
The Greatest Football Team
We take the ball from goal to goal
Like no one's ever seen
We're in the air, we're on the ground
We're always in control
And when you say Miami
You're talking Super Bowl

'Cause we're the...

Miami Dolphins,
Miami Dolphins,
Miami Dolphins Number One!
Yes we're the...
Miami Dolphins,
Miami Dolphins,
Miami Dolphins Number One!

Can't wait for Madden 11!

Yeah total fail. In fact, they shouldn't even ship the game this year and fly all the known copies to mars so no one gets them.

So, so disappointed Renegade couldn't get added on. Still looks like a great list though.

I don't know if I'd like this list of songs just to listen to, but it certainly fits for Madden.

I'm a big Prince fan but man, that SB performance was whack. Prince has always been weird about playing his old hits (I don't understand why), so he plays some Foo Fighters cover song during the SB? Come on, man. Musically he sounded fine but I would've liked to have seen a better set list. Springsteen and Petty both were really good.

Yes the music starts right after the extra point goes through, the best part is hearing the crowd sing along with the songs.

It's great they added the team fight songs, but honestly, the Packers' fight song is nearly irrelevant these days.

I like the song list there for stadium music. However no San Diego Super Chargers??? WTH It may not be a liked a whole lot by people who aren't charger fans but if your going to put chants and team songs in shouldn't it be for all teams. Its great that their finally putting it in and it should really add to the atmosphere but only 7 out of 32 teams get fight songs in. I'm not certain if every team has a certain song they sing doing a game but i hope for next year every team which does has it in the game.

finally, stadium music. this is going to be sweet.

# 54 Bellsprout @ 07/27/10 01:30 AM
Thrilled about the Packers stuff.

But it sounds like I'll be using my own music when I'm at the menus. I'm so sick of classic rock. It's all the people at work listen to.

# 55 blackngoldfan @ 07/27/10 01:58 AM
That is a nice list, but I wish Trick Daddy's "Lets Go" would've made the cut.

# 56 Bellsprout @ 07/27/10 02:59 AM
Good Riddance isn't even Green Day's most overplayed song. If I hear Boulevard Of Broken Dreams again I'm going to puke.

And I like Green Day.

I don't want to work
I want to bang on the drum all day
I don't want to play
I just want to bang on the drum all day

Ever since I was a tiny boy
I don't want no candy
I don't need no toy
I took a stick and an old coffee can
I bang on that thing 'til I got
Blisters on my hand because

When I get older they think I'm a fool
The teacher told me I should stay after school
She caught me pounding on the desk with my hands
But my licks was so hot
I made the teacher wanna dance
And that's why

Listen to this
Every day when I get home from work
I feel so frustrated
The boss is a jerk
And I get my sticks and go out to the shed
And I pound on that drum like it was the boss's head
Because

I can bang that drum
Hey, you wanna take a bang at it?
I can do this all day

Very thrilled to see that song and hope to hear it many times both in the game and in real life. Go Pack go!

This soundtrack needs more hip hop. But including Ozzy and Blur make it alright. But that Ying Yang Twins song is gonna be my most played by far.

# 59 djordan @ 07/27/10 08:02 AM
THATS IT???

I know more then 7 teams in the NFL have fight songs are specific crowd chants....

I'll see you BoBD and raise you a "Know Your Enemy".

Needless to say, I'm not the biggest fan of 21st Century Breakdown.
