USA Today just announced "The Jordan Challenge" for NBA 2K11.
Quote:
"Gamers will not only control Jordan, but some of the classic Bulls teams of the '80s and '90s. The games have been recreated to authentically mirror the appearance of arenas and players from that era.
Among the Jordan highlights featured:
-- 1990 vs. Cleveland Cavaliers. Jordan scored a career high 69 points in an 117-113 overtime win.
-- 1992 NBA Finals. In Game 1 against the Portland Trail Blazers, Jordan scored 35 points in the first half, draining a record six 3-pointers.
-- 1997 NBA Finals. Battling a stomach virus, Jordan scored 38 points in a pivotal Game 5 victory against the Utah Jazz."
It's ok... Not as big as everyone is gonna make it out to b.. If dis da only news den I'm dissapointed but I firgued it had sumthing to do wit Jordan n classic team.. Don't get me wrong.. Dis is good of course.. But it is def nothing groundbreaking for me.. How bout they say something about Online n where they heading in the online direction.. I mean yea Jordan is great but I been playing witout Jordan for years now so I really can care less
yeah, i grew up hating Jordan (celts fan) so all this stuff doesnt interest me...BUT...if they include his playoff outburst against the celts, and instead, I can control Basketball Jesus and the Celtics to try and slow his Airness down...now that I could get into!
This! Except I'm a Knicks fan, i would love to be able to play as my old Knicks squad and try to stop Jordan from duplicating history. I would love that.
Hot Damn!...Shout out to 2K sports for these MJ challenges, and most importantly, shout out to Messenjah Matt for his persistence in making countless videos of MJ that made this a reality.
If its not too late, I hope they make these challenges playable online. Make it so we send challenges to people on our friends list when doing these challenges to see if they can shut down the legend.
I have to give NBA 2K big, big ups. Once Franchise/Dynasty/Legacy modes were put into games, I never ever played any other mode(except for practice of course) Now with My Player and The Jordan Challenge I will actually being playing these other modes a lot.
The MJ screenshots are probably from 1996-97, when players wore shorts that are more like today's. I assume that older teams will wear them. We'll have to wait for more screens.
Why would this be exciting?? Everyone knows Jordan should be in the game and playable? I'll be excited if they bring back the speed of NBA2k7 and make the control more responsive and almost free lag online game like 2k7.
