NCAA Football 11 News Post

I will come right out and say it: The NCAA Football series has been a disaster on this generation of consoles. However, I am happy to say that after a long wait, and after playing my copy of NCAA Football 11 for several weeks now, not only is the franchise back in a very big way, but this is also the best football game I have played this generation.

Oh man, this review really got me excited for the game. I tried not to get too into reading about the game before it came out, as last year I knew exactly what was good in the game and what was bad before I even played it, I kind of want more of a surprise this year and get to choose for myself what I like and don't like. So this is the first thing I've read about the game in a while, and I am VERY excited. I've been out of the country since early June, so I haven't been able to get my hands on the demo, but I'll be back once the game comes out, so I'll definitely be picking it up. Can't wait. Thanks for the review. You've really got me hyped.

I've read several reviews saying it hasn't changed.

Christian can you confirm for me whether or not other schools offer you jobs in online dynasty? Thanks!

Cool man, thanks for the follow up. I look forward to your reviews in the future.

I haven't been able to sim that far in an OD yet, I will check it out though and get back to you guys. I know this is a hot topic. Put it this way- why include coaching contracts if you couldn't.

Jerseys don't get dirty? How can you include all this new realistic stuff into the game and not have jerseys that get dirty?

Also, I hope the "field being worn out before the game starts" thing is taken care of.

I agree scrap RtG and add CC and FCS schools and I will never leave my house for NCAA 12.

just patch uniforms not getting dirty, teams not recruiting to their needs, and a few gameplay tweaks and NCAA 11 should just be about perfect. Also wouldn't mind seeing accelerated clock make it in via DLC or something.

Scrapping RTG is not really going to give them in new space for FCS teams. It really doesn't used up any space at all besides the media parts of it.

But don't get me wrong. I definitely think we need FCS by now.

Excellent review, as usual. This game went from picking it up eventually to getting it as soon as the OS community rosters are done. Auto turbo definitely seems like it will add so much to the game. I can't remember a time where any EA Sports game had good commentary.

Great review. Very detailed.

Can't wait to start digging in!! I know the addiction will feel like it did with '06.

Very great write up bro. But the thing that worried me is the lack of sacks as you said. You said the sliders will help with that. I really hope so. But other then that. It sounds great. Great job bro.

It sounds like multiple sources think NCAA 11 is significantly better than 10. I hope they are right.

I hope so. Cant be much worse than the last couple years IMO. I'm so jaded I'm not even excited about this years game. I'll get it when I get it and hopefully it lives up.

because it's EA.....

They'll always give you something one year and but take something back in return....they'll never give you everything because it's just not their style.

Granted I'll still love the game but in NCAA 10 they had dirty uniforms spot on the best in the series

Now they removed them most likely because of the new lightning system they added.....oh well atleast fatigue is finally back again and working properly

Guys...keep it on topic!

Either you like the review or do not....either way is fine, but keep on the topic of the review.

Thanks
Bob

This is the reason why I never take game reviewers seriously.

If you go back and look at the previous reviews of " insert sports titles here", they all follow the same train of thought.

08 "Well last year it wasnt good, but this year its amazing"

09 "Last year wasnt a good year, but this year NCAA regains its glory"

10 "NCAA last year wasnt a polished title, but never fear...this year its returning to glory"

11 "NCAA has been terrible this generation, but thats all changed this year!! "

Same song and dance every year. Early reviews and people that get the game early proclaim it to be the greatest version ever, and by 3AM after the midnight launches people will be talking patches.
