You do have a point about the funny part. It made me chuckle the first time I seen it. Now after having seen it 1,000 times and realizing that it's the only cut scene for it, that chuckle has quieted and been replaced with silent dejection.

However, no offense, but I'm just not feeling it this year. All these vids------all resemble what we saw last year at E3. In other words, it doesn't seem to be a huge step forward, more like sideways.

Yes, adding Gus was great news, until I heard his in-game audio. Sounds like he just read the exact same lines as Hammond, but added his own flair to them. Still going to get repetitive and boring, I'm sorry to say.

I don't want to list all the negatives I see and start anything. But, it really doesn't seem that much different than M10, and I hate saying that, as I know you guys take pride in what you do, and work hard from one release to another.

I understand that locomotion is hard to guage by watching videos. I need to play the game to feel the improvement. In playing the NCAA demo, I've gotten a small taste of it, and it is a good thing.

But I'm afraid I'm passing on M11. I just feel like if I update my M10 rosters, I'll have the same game. (Which I've done already).

Again, not meaning to call out the devs or anything, just stating how I personally feel. Add the fact that franchise is practically untouched, and the halftime show and Extra Point appear to be removed and not expanded upon, and I'm just disappointed.

Peace....
MAN, your summed up my feelings, and I'm noticing more and more posts echoing that sentiment. The sad part is, I'm easy... I'm really, really easy. I want to be wooed, EA. I enjoyed '10 and want to buy Madden '11, but there's nothing compelling for me. Wheras I feel like NCAA is working to earn my money. They just have more stuff that appeals to me like a dynasty mode that feels alive, ESPN integration, progessive lighting and formation subs...

I haven't seen any indication of a different Madden interface. Why is it that after spending a year working on gameplay and ignoring franchise, you can't do something simple like adding formation subs to give us a little more customization? I have no doub that a lot of hard work and long hours have gone into locomotion and the other online stuff they're hanging their hat on, it's just that the results thus far, have felt piss poor.

Hopefully, I've missed the formation sub integration, but from all of the main menus and options that I've seen scrolled through, it's nowhere to be found.

I didn't read all 11 pages so this may have already been asked and answered, if not, why do the players feet make imprints in the snow but when they are tackled their bodies do not?

worse madden player ever seen in my life. Takes out Joe Flacco for Troy Smith. Dumb. Takes out Derrick Mason for Duante Stallworthe with no catching abiltiy. stupid. I bet you that Derrick Mason will have a 90 or better route running. He gets open all the time even at his age now.

im getting it this year.

its like a computer that gets viruses, the positives outweight the negatives.

I luv football and have to play something. And I have $65 to waste, since I dont play video games much other than Madden. Day 1 purchase for me.

lol

if it happend once in a while and you can pick the ball up outright was more often I wouldnt have a problem with it but ive seen too many timed someone get screwed out of a fumble recovery touchdown because that sequence activated

As soon as I saw the Ravens user sub Troy Smith over Flacco, I lost all interest. I

Haha. I laughed at that one too, Kia. I'm so glad to be able to play Madden in a sim league and not versus the "typical" player. Boldin gets subbed for speed, Flacco gets subbed for speed, and the defense is full of DL zone drops, attempts at A-gap nanos, etc.

Who is playing in these game clips? It'd be nice if they got someone reasonably sim to show how the game plays by those standards.

I like the run blocking, I will say that, and I like as well the atmosphere stuff they added to pregame and in between quarters.

Looks like fight for the fumble is still there. I *really* hope we have the option to turn that off in the OF.

I didn't read this whole thread and only watched like 30 seconds of the video but I'm wondering is weather gonna effect gameplay this year or does it still only change the color of the field ?

# 90 Pared @ 06/28/10 12:13 PM
I thought it effected last year. I recall more fumbles and stumbling in the rain.

They could make it MORE noticeable, but there was a difference IMO.

You can see in the first two videos that WR slip in the snow, and there are also multiple failed sideline catches. I wonder if that's an effect of a weather-induced lack of agility.

I know in M10 rain definitely affected the passing game and ball security. It was cool to see weather finally be a factor in Madden.

I'm thinking it probably won't be implemented like you invision it outside of a flew players slipping or stumbling. Rain and snow should effect the way teams have to approach an opponent.

I thought the game looked MUCH better, you could see the locomotion big time. I liked how the interceptions looked smoother, the replays looked good, the plays opened up realistically, and there weren't too many "...only in Madden" moments.

Roeth is breaking entirely too many tackles though. Gonna have to edit some ratings when I get the game. Overall, I'm much more excited to play this game than I was a week ago.

This video reminded me of....Dare I say ben-bef-bel-boo-bay-bive? (Cmon, say it out loud)

They respond to comments in general. This has absolutely nothing to do with the topic.

Back on track, please.

Looks like Madden 10 to me. Won't know till the demo comes out. The tackling is still terrible, got the force field going on when a ball carrier is engaged. I think NCAA 11 looks better than this.

I like the Big Ben truck!

This. Ive noticed there isnt nearly as much warp to the pass breakups and INTs.

Last year, you had an excellent chance at a user warp or rocket catch INT, if you were near the reciever.

I dont think Ive seen that yet, with what they have shown so far.

Ive seen one clip of a AI defenders making up a absurd amount of ground(9ers-raiders video..Nandi pick 6.)..but it doesnt seem nearly as bad last year, when I felt like I couldnt trust what I read.

Im HOPING that locomotion is going to force people to play their user defender a little more honest..rather then cheat run, or middle, and still be able to cover wherever they want to go.

My only concerns right now is zone depth/awareness and front 4 aggression.

why is this dude playing troy smith @ qb?
why is he running a dime package most of the time when he is being run up in like a cheap hoe?
he doesnt play ravens D at all!
as col. stinkmeaner once said.. man.. this is some ol bull sheot!! lol

game looks great btw..

The replay angles are much better in Madden than they are in the NCAA demo. Saw more impact hits in these videos; was nice to see the cpu Steelers blitzing as much as they were. Whoever was playing seemed too jittery in the pocket and was falling back on the old Madden drop back 25yds or rollout from pressure tactics. Overall the OL/DL interaction still seems pretty soft, not any bull rushing/players being forced backwards/forwards. I'm sure most reviewers will care less but the player interaction overall is a huge disappointment - especially at this stage next gen; really stands out as a big negative imo
