I'm a little confused by the video--so the guy had Gameflow on, but he was still able to pick his own plays?

I didn't like seeing the 700 lbs of Cody and Ngata get blown off the line of scrimmage so easily on run plays by a pretty bad O-line.

That's just being picky though.
I think it's just being realistic, and I agree with it 100%:

No, at the start of the video he switched from conventional to Gameflow and then back to conventional.

That's the kind of player that should've used gameflow. He didn't know what he was doing. I was glad to see 2 man rushes get beat by the CPU. That's a stupid way to play. I was also glad to see them fail.

The Steelers got pretty good pressure when they rushed 4+. That's good to see. The DB animations look good so far.

The only thing that kind of bugged me was how repetitive some of the tackles are. I think they should have a similar but slightly different tackle animation database. Right now, that side tackle where the HB takes 1 or 2 more steps and falls quick is really really common.

It's good to see outside defenders seemingly holding their zones despite the kid scrambling around back there. I also liked seeing errant passes when they were thrown during times in the route where the play isn't intended to be completed.

At :25 of the first video, he turned GameFlow off, but it still seems to be on. That's strange.

The guy playing is horrible. The game didn't look very good either.

Come on Ian and company. How is it that the AI D can get pressure with no trouble. While the Human D can't get no pressure what so ever. This was the problem in madden 10. I would of thought ya'll of fixed it. Come on it is all about the AI. The AI seems to always get Superhuman strenght and mange to get great pressure every down. How about giving the human controlled D some love for once. Also once again seeing the AI coming across the otherside of the field and getting it's second pick of the game in video#2. Man what is up with Super AI. Please fix this Ian and crew. Give some agressiveness to the Human D pass rush and tone down the AI int ratio some. It's getting quit old.

I really like the replays. Definitely better than any effort they've ever done. I can see a number of upgrades to presentation here. Still far from where it should be at this point, but I can see they've listened to a number of my complaints and have addressed quite a few.

I just hope that the playcall screen is not popping up over the replays, and it's just a matter of people button-mashing.

Dude... the guy playing rushed 2 people nearly every pass. I don't think this game is a fair representation of how aggressive the human pass rush can be.

Fortunately, like Scott said, nobody is making you buy this game. If I complained about every product in existence that wasn't up to my standard.... "OMG this FORK is wayyyy too THIN! I can't believe they're trying to sell me this junk. The fork engineer (metallurgist? lol) needs to be FIRED! WOW!!!!!!"

I agree. I play with D-Ware and Spencer as my OLBs and it seems near impossible to get any pressure unless I user blitz or send everybody.
Ware is the best pass rusher in the game but its like he can't beat anybody 1on1.
The CPU on the other hand sometimes only send 3 and still manage to get pressure. lol

The guy playing as the raves was doing it. As soon as you roll out like that and break the pocket, the DE should be crushing him. More proof that they don't understand what a pocket is or how to make one. I still see the same wall in front of the QB.

As far as the animations go, they are decent. Still not as good as they should/could be, but If the AI and the football fundamentals were sound, I wouldn't be upset if the animations stayed like this.
and they still throwing across their body

You should be able to have more sway over it this year. There's a pre-snap mechanic that's similar to NCAA, L2 then up will tell your d-linemen to rush upfield in an aggressive pass rush. As to the second part of your statement, this has perplexed me for years. I've never understood how the game's AI is tuned at a level that's almost psychic, but your CPU teammates always seem to be a step slower and dumber.

I even remember last year Ian really harping on the pass rush tuning and posting vids of the Ravens rushing the Bills (worst O-Line in the league) in a practice mode and the Raven's getting pressure and sacks every snap. The problem was that he was the Bills and the cpu was the Ravens and it doesn't seem to compute to them that that's not he same thing.

I understand now why Gus has very little pre-snap comments. The coordinator for gameflow is talking. There were a few times after the play you hear Collinsworth talking with the coordinator talking over him.

Stay on topic please, fellas.

I actually like the speed of the game. Things seem to animate better. Nice snow game.

Sideline catches look bad. There are 3 in the seond qtr vid where the player is way out of bounds making the tip toe animation. Gus Johnson sounds like he's reading a book to children.

"Looking for a man."

"Plenty of time to find a man."

"He has a man open."

"Got it."

If you heard that on the radio you would think there was a completed pass for positive yards. In the above scenario, it's an intercepted pass.

+ I thought the animation transitions looked a little smoother

- Pro-tak seems to have not taken any steps forward

- Line interaction/D-pressure looks stale

- Tackling looks pretty rough as well. If the first defender is trying to take down the ball handler the other defenders slide off and cant influence the tackle. It doesnt happen everytime but enough that its bothersome
