Why not rip the video and not Madden? There's more in Madden that new like Locomotion, Kicking Meter, etc. Geez bash the whole freaking game on one stupid vid. lmao

People are bashing the game because it looks like Madden 10.1. These videos got me wondering what the hell they did this past year. I will say it looks smoother and the graphics are nice but thats all I'm liking so far I'm curious how pasta likes the stick controls.

Can't judge a book by it' cover. I think the big thing this year is locomotion. For how long have people complaned about the running and blocking, the sucking at the line, can go on and on. Geez give it a chance and lets see what happens. Cautiously optimistic.

As written here, http://www.operationsports.com/newspost.php?id=420011
"With Gameflow and Locomotion being the two main features for Madden NFL 11, it’s safe to say gameplay truly is the name of the game for this year’s pro-football title."

They made some nice camera changes while picking plays. The game looks smoother than M10 but they still have some of those jerky animations in there.

I will only comment to say that all these haters saying "I don't understand what they've been working on", etc, who are laughably threatening not to buy the game, WILL without a doubt, buy this game...just as they have every year before. Stop with all the pathetic threats, NO ONE cares. You're gonna buy it no matter, what, liars.

I abhor the new kicking mechanism. Madden just took a 10 year step backwards in the kicking department. Instead of fixing it so the ratings actually matter, they put in a new bar based kicking. So much for mapping control mechanisms to the players actions. If they didn't have time to fix it right, then they should have just left it alone rather than wasting developer cycles building a new mechanism instead of simply fixing the one they had in the game.

but why are you surprised by this? They can't seem (or want) to get even the basic elements of the game correct. Everything is just always implemented poorly.. from the camera angles, to the replays, the stadium sounds, the cut scenes, statistics, half time show, announcers.. geez, i can seriously go on all day long, and I haven't even mentioned any gameplay issues.

For those who seriously love this game, and always defend EA.. tell me one aspect of this game that Tiburon has just nailed 100% or one area of this current Madden game that they have innovated or set the bar for other devs to follow?

Online franchise. Although I'm not much of a madden fan I give credit were credit it due.

that is your example of innovation? would your opinion change if it was no longer free, and it cost extra? or if you buy a used copy and had to pay for online franchise?

sooooo, no salary cap, trade logic, admin/commish tools, free agency system, thats what your giving credit for? Thats not innovative. The name Online Franchise is innovative. The "idea" of it is innovative. Unfortunately for the madden team, the stopped half way through creating it and never looked back. There was still a lot of work left to do.

Make all the excuses you want, but online franchise was huge for me and my buddies. Fantasy draft was great fun. I have no doubt there are still online franchises going on.

Everything you are complaining about could be handled yourself. Stop relying on the devs to do everything for you. There only focus should be fixing gameplay.

All these years, you guys complained about the glitz and glamour of the new madden additions, how they were gimmicks and would be pulled out soon. Well, this year, it was all meat and potatoes baby and i love it. you can't remove improved run blocking, and why go back from locomotion? on top of that, route running seems improved too.
