Good to see they finally got the Browns' brown pants in there.

Everything run's hand and hand as far as I'm concerned. If game play is greatly improved but, franchise's big problems haven't been addressed then I wouldn't be happy. Because I'm a strictly offline player and all the game play in the world means very little to me if I'm not building on to something. I want working IR, good sim stats (for cpu teams), Presentation, etc.

On the flip side, even if everything in franchise has been improved and everything "works properly" that means nothing to me if game-play sucks. Poor game-play makes playing franchise less rewarding because the games just aren't fun. I rarely (if ever) sim my teams games so, I want good game-play to make the game worth playing. If that makes sense.

You have it ALL wrong. Most of the people that were involved with these sites where either online players OR tourney guys. THAT is where these sites came from.

Not from OFFLINE players. Remember they are OFFLINE players.

They aren't going to come to some site like this, they play the game OFFLINE.
Yeah, I caught your original post before you edited it where you asked me "are you high?" Real classy.

When you look at only how you play or base it on how your circle of friends play and then throw in some random websites where other hardcore players go, and say that's the definitive word on how 6 million people should view the importance of one aspect of a game, then you really don't understand minority vs. majority at all.

I'm not telling you franchise isn't important, I'm telling you that you don't represent the majority no matter how much you'd like to believe otherwise.

No. I would argue the opposite.

Stux, you really need to cool out. I was asked a question about it and I answered it truthfully with factual information I was given FROM EA. It appears you don't like that information... well, I suggest you take that up with them, but I'm sure they'd be making it up too, right? LOL.

Anyway, we're not communicating anymore. I come for constructive discussions, not nonsense.

It will be interesting to see how d-line stunts are handled, and d end dropping back into coverage and even delayed blitzes. The assignment ai was kind of vague the way it was explained. Hopefully it is primarily used in run blocking schemes.

I'll take his word any day of the week.

He's meet the folks at EA twice in person.

That is more personal than a few random polls.

Let me get this straight... Me saying that an internet poll doesn't represent the whole, is an assumption? C'mon. No, that's just good 'ol fashioned common sense. You could go to a site for hardcore shoe lovers and take a poll on what color is best and everybody could vote red. That doesn't in any way shape or form extract a definitive conclusion that red is everyone's favorite color.

And as far as the information I got from EA, it is what it is. You're free to believe whatever you like, but I know what I was told and I gain no benefit from telling you anything less than the truth.

Yeah, I used to be strictly offline. Recently I started going online because I like to see the different strategies other players use that the CPU doesn't utilize. With the way A.I. is progressing I may not have to go back online. BTW that Chris Johnson run was probably the smoothest of the clips.

Whatever you think about offline franchise or game play being more important, they have never really got the game play right. I love Madden but the apf 08 game play is better than any madden so far. They have gotten a lot of things right with the offline franchise on the last gen systems. Its seems that it would be easy to atleast make franchise as good as it was on the last gen, if not better, without losing any time to get the game play right. It is not offline franchise verses game play. How hard is it for them to change something to prevent 3 RB's from breaking the all-time single season rushing record every year of a franchise? We can all get what we want if they do a good job of making the game.

Yeah, my amount of data is low, but it's higher than your assumption based on "common sense".
Enumerative deduction doesn't make your argument more sound on that principle.

I would also argue that it's 'common sense' that online is far more popular than online.

That spin move that Chris Johnson does at :54 second mark is ridiculous.

And I mean that in the worst way possible.

LOL, yeah okay. I think you know better, and I'm sure you know a few internet sites don't represent the majority of millions.

But whatever data you get from one website or a few doesn't negate the data EA themselves has taken in and decides to go by. When EA pulls market data and communicates that there are specific targets based on market data that they're relying on to get sales and franchise is not at the top of the list, there really isn't anything else to consider. It wouldn't matter if you had 10 Kokatu's all telling you franchise or bust. When EA pulls data and they feel that a specific area is what's making them sales, guess what's going to get the most upgrades? The part(s) that's making them sales. All of that information is part of how you staff and how much money get's thrown at a specific development area.

I've been part of their community days the past two years in addition to some other interaction. There is some information you can google about that, and of course there is the search function at the the top of the forum

You're so not the one to be discussing much less reprimanding someone on class. I've seen far worse from you, stuff that wouldn't even make it past the forums filters. Are you high is ever so mild in comparison.

I'd be willing to bet some good hard money that the majority of players play Offline Franchise, because we know the majority of players play offline. Only 70 some odd percent have an online connection, and of that the majority of them login to play a game once online and then never do so again.

The question is what does a 'franchise update' (or addition) mean. It can mean a LOT of things to a lot of different people/posters. For me, I'm looking to see things like the ability to manipulate my player contracts, team chemistry ratings, strategy in coach hirings and site upgrades, but the big thing I'm looking for is a Franchise mode that's centered on the franchise. That means wrap ups and stories based on the franchise. Auto-genereated radio feeds that play out while I'm in the franchise menu about the franchise and info around the league. In-depth news articles from around the league and how it affects my franchise. A weekly recap show that gives an overview of the NFL, but focuses each week on my team, my franchise.

That's what I want, but it's probably not what others are looking for in a franchise upgrade. Others may want the ability to be more like a GM, and head coach, with a focus on simming/management (which is so not my cup of tea). I know I see Adembroski playing Head Coach '09 on his XBox Live profile, and all I can think of is 'how can he play that game?' Point is when someone yells for franchise updates, we aren't necessarily yelling for the same thing.

With regards to the video, I didn't see any new footage in it. Am I overlooking something? I didn't even catch any new information off of it. I will say however, after giving EAAnthony a hard time on the last couple of videos, I gotta give him a +1 on the jazz hands. That was pretty funny, actually made me smile.
