Oh, it's Whoopie as a Cardassian.

I've been playing games long enough to recognize it, but didn't know it without googling.

The game looks great. I love the controls. After watching this, NCAA and Madden look weird.

Haven't read this entire thread, so heads up apology if this has already been covered. Did everyone see the warping between the feet and the field? What's up with that? I mean, it was bad. Not something I expected to see from BackBreaker, especially in a promotional video.

Just a little bug.

People please stop complaining about the warping!! Does it effect gameplay...NO! Praise these good azz animations and how fluid and fun the game looks!

It does too effect gameplay. We saw the lineman fall when his foot was stepped on, so the RB should have at least stumbled when his foot would have hit the lineman's leg. Is it a big time bug? Not really, I'll still be at Gamestop day one to pick this up, but I definitely would like it to be fixed by release somehow.

Could be an isolated incident or one that occurs infrequently.

Don't make excuses now. I love Backbreaker as much as the next guy, but we've seen this clipping in most the videos. I know its not too big a bug and it may ruin gameplay if it was fixed. It may cause players to fall way too much, but I'd like to see an effort at fixing it.

That was an illusion because of the replay angle. Look at the shadows, the position of the players during the cut from the RB, the OL never made it to where the RB was at. Yes there was some clipping, but that was only because of the angle, the RB was to the right of the OL.

They probably made it like almost every other sports game in history where two players on the same team have very limited contact interaction with each other.

I hate when sports games don't allow collisions between teammates. Rarely and I mean rarely have many sports games in the last 20 years have allowed teammates to interact with each other fully. They always give the advantage to the offense or the human controlled players to be able to get the "benefit" of the doubt. A lot of times they do that to prevent "frustration" and to make the game more "fun". Such as in 2k when thy have your back auto hurdle or when he pushes the back of the lineman automatically for you or the get skinny animation.

This may be case with backbreaker where the game allows your guys to go past your teammates "easier" than when going by the opposition.

However the diving running back in the video shows that is not entirely the case. We will just have to wait and see what "advantages" are given to make it more "fun" and not frustrating.

Either way the game looks good.

Very nice video. The control scheme they've implemented is impressive considering it's their first attempt. I willing to bet they went the extra mile Tiburon doesn't seem to have and implemented unique right-stick controls for the defense (there are some vicious hits in the draft day commercial)

Yes, the defense is done similar to the run controls. This is a quote from the Backbreaker Info Thread. I actually got the info from an Ask a Dev thread on the BB forum:

Defense: Defensive players controls built with evasive and aggressive mode similar to ball carrier. Evasive mode gives defender maximum agility. Rt trigger enters aggresive mode. Aggressive mode on defense allows the player to take down the ball carrier via a number of tackle types that are triggered by gestures on the right analog stick. Not only can the type of tackle be chosen, but also whether the tackle should be aimed high, to the torso or low to the legs.

Love the ability to choose tackling high or low.

WOW, the advantage of a high tackle in aggressive mode is obvious (fumble or just a harder hitting tackle). I wonder what advantage a low tackle will yield? Will they have a strip available in aggressive mode? Obviously, in aggressive mode you'd be more prone to miss the ball carrier, particularly if he jukes.

That will be great. Now if you have a big RB coming at you, you better try and go low. If you try and go high, you will get shaken off. It will all be in the hands of the players.

right-wasn't thinking of that. Can't go hi or lo in evasive mode?

I noticed that the A button can be used for action as well. Do you think that if you don't use the right stick (at least on defense), you can press the A button to initiate an automated tackle type? Or is that to switch players?

probably switch players-i think all the tackling is done with the RightStick.
