  • Every player on a MLB roster is included
  • AAA lineups/rotations best as possible

Thanks to Knight for letting me join the cause and to Ksig for his excellent scouting and potential matches. I'm sure Knight will be around to provide input on V.2.

Orioles-wise, only a few edits from V1 I have:

Josh Bell should be the AAA 3B, and Brandon Snyder the AAA 1B. Michael Aubrey is on the bench.

Will Ohman's number should be 13. Julio Lugo is #2.

The O's also acquired C Steven Lerud from the Royals for a player to be named. They also got Joey Gathright on a minor league deal. (He was released by Toronto I believe.)

You can also get rid of G. Rodriguez (catcher). He is a free agent now.
I can't even find Joey Gathright in the set...he's not on Toronto, Baltimore, or in the FA pool.

Nor can I find Larud

yes....I need to know that too! Is there a workaround similar to last year where you can get the actual coaches and not fakes?

This seems to be the place to post comments on corrections - if it isn't, please let me know and I'll start posting them there.

Blue Jays Roster Corrections

Chad Jenkins is listed as LH and he is RH. There is a Chad Jenkins that is Left Handed, but he is property of the Nationals. The Blue Jays' Jenkins was our first selection in 2009 (1st round) and has yet to pitch a pro game. Likely starts in Lansing (A-Ball) this year.

Johermyn Chavez was traded to Seattle in the Morrow/League deal.

I now the AA lineups are not complete, but I was under the impression that the rosters are (I may be wrong on this, though)

No Backup Catcher on the AA roster (New Hampshire Fishercats)
Currently Adam Loewen is the starting Catcher and he's an OF

Brian Jeroloman would be the backup Catcher for NH - I didn't see him on the 3 levels of lineups, but he may be on the A-Ball Roster (I'd have to check)

Brett Wallace has been moved to 1B and he's listed as 3B in the AAA lineups (Las Vegas 51s) - He'll also likely hit 3rd and not 5th, I would suggest flipping him and J.P. Arencibia - but the 51s play tonight, so we'll know more then.
Brian Dopirak will likely serve as the DH to allow Wallace to play 1B and Kyle Phillips (who's listed as a Catcher, which is correct, but he also plays 3B) will likely start at 3rd.

Again, the AAA lineup will become clear after tonight's games.

I'm going to just make the changes to my version and start my franchise, but I thought as a token of appreciation for the work that went into these it was appropriate to post these corrections for the guys who do the work to take into consideration.

Some things I noticed:

Grant Desme added, I never added him.
Nolan Arenado COL D potential: #10 prospect should be B
R Harvey COL should be Ryan
Randall Grichuk ANA C potential should be B
David Nick ARI is 18/19 years old not 20 and should be a C
Matt Davidson ARI D potential (I know that I gave him a B/A rating)
Ryan Wheeler ARI D potential should be C/B
Jeff Malm TB age/potential D, should be C/B
Casey Kelly B potential should be A
Isaac Galloway FLA D potential should be solid B
Christian Bethancourt ATL C potential should be B
Carlos Rivero SS CLE not in game?
Jared Mitchell CAP was changed from A to B considering his injury
Trayce Thompson CHW should be B potential

these are just a few of what I found.

# 368 nike31 @ 04/08/10 01:49 PM
Matt Lindstrom should be the Astros closer
Brandon Lyon was moved to MRP...

Is there a way to edit potential? If so I think Mcgee for the Brewers needs to be higher than what it is (D or C).

# 371 ChiCubs @ 04/08/10 03:22 PM
hey everyone....first off, another thank you to Knight. dude, i hope all with your family gets better fast. thoughts and prayers out to you bro.

i successfully uploaded the rosters to my PS3 and The SHow 10. i spent last night tweaking all team rosters/lineups/etc. here is my question- when progressing through the season, i am expecting the "fatigue notices" from all clubs regarding players that need to sit for rest, which is cool. but my question is this: will the CPU put the starting players back in at the positions and places in the lineup that i have set? or will i need to go in and set the lineups again?

thanks for the help. i am so pumped to get my Cubbies franchise and Mariners franchise started. thanks to Knight & Co.!!!

SCEA is the only one who can edit potential. You can't edit a player's potential, but it is possible to edit the fake players in FA into the player you want. Knight did it last year, but there were only a limited number of players to do. If you do it again Knight later this year, please see if you can do something about the Reds Juan Duran and Yorman Rodriguez, both should be higher than a D potential.

i vote no on this... no offense to your pitch edits, but if you start doing them now, there will be no set of all the minor leaguers with stock ratings... can we please just finish the rest of the minor leaguers, release that, and then edit the rosters with pitch edits and stances and whatever else?

pretty please

are these gonna be fixed in v2? because the red sox should have more than 2 a potential players

# 376 mrgoodkat @ 04/08/10 04:17 PM
^ That makes sense to me. It seems to always go the long way round, and we end up with 6-7 versions, when there should only be 3 at most, IMHO. Or two if you dont count the V1, which is largely a 'tide me over'.

Opening day stock, and then pitch edits.

I worked on the MVP Baseball project for a few years, back in the day...

I thought you could finally edit these yourself? So even when a roster like this came out, people who follow AA/AAA locally could add proper potential ratings.

I'm not looking forward to seeing the potential ratings of ChiSox young talent if that is the case...

Who cares? I mean seriously. What does it matter if coaches are fake or not?
