MLB 2K10 News Post

2K Sports has posted their Major League Baseball 2K10 MLB Developer Insight, which focuses on community efforts.

Quote:
"2K10 marks a huge year for the Major League Baseball 2K series: It’s the 10th anniversary of the franchise and the second release after famed developer Visual Concepts brought the series completely in-house. It’s important that we continue to build a foundation for the years to come and that the developers, who work so hard on making our sports games the best simulation titles on the market, speak with our most important advocates: you, the 2K Sports Community. After our success with this program for NHL and NBA 2K10, we are proud to bring a whole new level of information to our MLB Community with the MLB Developer Insights."

So was the first one the announcement of the announcement? At least they will have something structured from here on in. It would be nice to see something already, lol!

Kudo's to 2K for getting some info out.
I'm really looking forward to this game. And yes, I'm a PS3 owner.

I could have told you this. They have been doing it with all their other games, so why wouldn't they do it with mlb?

Oh, whoops. I quoted the wrong post. No I couldn't have told you when the screens would drop because I don't work for 2k, but I pretty much knew they would be doing the developer insights.

So these will be every Wednesday? With the other games they sometimes came out with two a week.

That's good to hear. I think the info will start flowing out next week.

Next week info will start coming out. We should be getting the fact sheet and a developer insight.

I hope they are not bullshots that have have been photo-shopped every damn year since 06'.

The only time they showed legit shots were in 08' and everyone complained, so bullshots came back again in 09'.

Show legit photos 2K. Please.

Actually it sounds rather promising. I guess we'll see from here on out.

I'm very interested in seeing how accurate Target Field was rendered. Though last year Yankee Stadium & Citi Field looked pretty good, they still were inaccurate.

Would also love to hear if they touched-up other Stadiums in the game as some of Stadiums also were inaccurate

Yeah they made Nationals Park look like Fenway with that wall in left.

Not only were they inaccurate, but they were altered to accept advertisements, correct? I'd be interested in hearing if they have indeed listened to the community and returned the stadiums to their correct forms.

I hope so, because it was a joke altering Wrigley and Nationals Park. There are no excuses for that and there is nothing that the devs could say to make it okay.

Though the ad's where some what over-done, I saw plenty of MLB games last year that had PEPSI & Sate Farm Ad's plastered all over the stadium. Some in the same exact spot's as 2K9... Go figure..

They really over did the pepsi stuff at tampa bay..
