NBA 2K10 News Post

2K Sports has posted another NBA 2K10 patch announcement.

Quote:
Hey guys,
I want to announce that there is going to be another patch for NBA 2K10 on XBOX 360 and PS3 (The future PC patch will be a combination of the two). It will address several areas users have raised concerns about, including some of the online modes and My Player. There are no further details as to the specifics of the patch at this time but development on the patch is underway. With the built in times for development and approvals, we are not expecting this next game update until January. Further details will be announced as they become available. Thank you.

Ronnie"

And no, I don't play My Player.

I agree.

How are you guys already deciding not to download the patch? What if it has a couple more gameplay tweaks in it and doesn't break anything?

Sooooo... the PC patch doesn't come out until January? Good job 2K Sports.

Wow there are so many people complaining night and day. I commend 2k for working so hard to please the consumer, big ups to them!

I guess I like to see the cup half full so I think this game is great. Rather then focusing on any imperfections (which by the way basically renders your time playing a total waste of life) I like to enjoy the game for all the moments when I see something done that just makes me smile.

I feel 2k10 was an extremely ambitious title, and thats what we need.

*Note to 2k developers* keep pushing the envelope don't play it too safe just because a bunch of kids complain about every little thing. Thanks for your hard work!

Dial-up user. If i'm completely happy with the game, which I am, i'm not going to go through the hassle of downloading a new patch.

Well, that makes sense.

Just to download the patch is like an hour and a half. Maybe 2. The last one was 65 mb, so it's probably closer to an hour and a half. Sad as hell, I know.

Not to mention the hour or so it normally takes me to get my PS3 hooked to my dial-up. My PS3 doesn't like to cooperate with dial-up. Lots of "The attempts to find the IP Address have timed out" messages.

It sucks, but I live in a dead zone for everything and am too cheap for satellite internet, so here I am. Stuck. Lol.

If you don't download it you'll be signed out of Live everytime. That would get annoying for me especially when it takes 5 seconds to download.

Somethin tells me this is gonna mess up offline play somehow...I just know it.

I'm loving 2k right now. I really don't have no complaints. just playing with Golden State right now and with downloadable draft classes and pared sliders, Hat off to 2k( though the online sucks at time but you come to expect that since the first 2 months of the last few yrs its been that way).

This is impressive.

If you're gonna troll, this is how it's done.

Bravo.
*reads my post again*
I don't see a mention of NBA Live in there. Anywhere. I actually liked that game. Didn't love it, that's why I sold it, but I liked it.

Trolling, to my knowledge, is running around OS rampantly posting anti-Madden propaganda in any thread that is even remotely related in any way shape or form. Frankly, that's not what I was doing and honestly I wouldn't do that. It's pointless. What I was doing was pointing out the difference between two companies. One company that has trouble getting things out the door and one company that gets things done. You certainly can't blame me, as a guy who isn't pleased with the current state of Madden, for seeing how impressive 2k is with patches and wondering why it can't be that way with Madden?

Also, apparently I can't like a game the way it is now. I wasn't aware. Heaven forbid I enjoy NBA 2k10. I apologize. My bad.

Finally, I have one thing against EA and that is this Madden patch. I don't hate the company. I actually quite like them. They make the skate series. My favorite series of games available.

But thank you. I've never been accused of trolling before. This was fun.

2 things that I like to be addressed in the next patch:

1. Less assists...
2. More turnovers (not via steals)

# 35 allan002001 @ 11/26/09 02:40 AM
Yea, im still experiencing the abundance of assists. Hope they turn it down.

Yes, this is being addressed in the next patch, along with other bigger issues people have voiced in these forums... such as too many alley oops by the CPU

Thank you, that was one of the few minor gripes I had about the game. Other than that, bravo.

I hope they fix the crowd back. Sometimes they totally miss cheering and being active in key moments. It was fine pre-patch.
