And a question, does the game have North Dakota and/or North Dakota State? Just wondering it'd be awesome to play as the school I'm going to or the one right down the interstate
I dont think you understood me, maybe i phrased it wrong. But if there was a problem in 09 with progression has it been fixed? I know the game JUST came out, which is why i would like to know. i understand sim stats and recruiting have been fixed but not progression

Oh sorry, I read your question wrong then.
I'm still on the fence, I get paid Friday, so I'm going to see how the impressions are over the next couple of days and try to gauge if I'll like it or not. Knowing how I am, I'll end up getting it anyway just because I love college basketball(even though I've played the tar out of 2k8 and still do) If it plays at least half decent, I don't care about classic teams or if player X doesn't have a tatoo. It just needs to play well, be fun and have good presentation.

One of the only downsides to the presentation. The starting lineups and stuff do move pretty fast. Haven't seen many top 25 polls, as I have not actually played a game in dynasty mode so i don't know how quick those will roll through. But the pregame part does move kind of quick. But the individual stats for the current game are there long enough to read.

Okay, so whats different from last year

sim stats and new announcers

Is that really it? Other than that, this game is NBA Live lite?

Same jumpers again, no new animations, same contact shots, no new tendencies, or anything of that matter?

Just that its a college game?

Seriously, other than stat fixes which i halfway care about, this is really all that was done?

Why wouldn't EA have touted this stuff more before release?
They did....

Most people didn't think much of it. It will be a cool feature as long as you don't have to rename the teams roster's every time it updates.

Don't really think that's fair. Atmosphere is better, presentation is nothing short than amazing, gameplay is improved, sim engine is better, recruiting is improved.

I think it's kind of ridiculous that they're clearly taking the right direction with the series and people are ripping them for not having tattoos and other trivial things, when they're addressing all the important things. I'd take CBS/ESPN and a solid sim engine over tats and jump shots.

That's what I've been saying. Just not enough there to make my wallet $60 lighter.

+1. It's a college game. I could care less if the players dont look like their real life counterpart. As long as it plays well(which IMO last year wasn't that bad) and it seems EA has improved over last year. (the keyword is seems)

# 178 countryboy @ 11/18/09 01:52 AM
if you played last year and this year, you'll notice there have been quite a few improvements to this game. Maybe it is Live Lite, but its a better game in every way from its predecessor which is how, imo, it should be judged.

ummm yes. Isn't the idea of improvement to improve upon something that had flaws? I mean, if something was flawless, why the need to improve it?

I've read that blog before. It said nothing about updating individual player ratings or appearances. Their feature needs to be explained better. If they don't tell you all the cool stuff that it does, then it won't attract anyone's attention.

I'm fairly sure you are in the minority. Most people like to see the individual players on their favorite team virtually replicated in appearance, movement, and ability.
