Quote:
GAMEPLAY

• Retuned the default sliders to make gameplay faster.
• Retuned the speed for acceleration and launches, allowing the user to break out mid launch.
• Players can now speed burst during crossover animations.
• Pinning has now been made easier, and can be initiated with the check button at slower speeds.
• Stick sweeps and poke checks retuned to more accurately knock the puck away when hitting the puck or stick rather than the puckhandler.
• Retuned shot velocity on rebounds and loose pucks.
• Retuned one-timer animations so players closer to the net will now deflect the puck rather than take slap shots.
• One-timers are now more difficult and will be missed more often if the player isn’t in good position.
• Briefly disable loose shots when sweeping your stick without the puck and then gaining possession.
• Penalties are slightly reduced globally.
• Retuned how the AI clears the puck on Penalty Kills.
• Reduced the number of diving poke checks done by goalies.
• Retuned defensive AI related to blue line pressure and defensive zone play.
• AI will now better react to drop passes.
• Slightly increased the aggressiveness of the AI in their own offensive zone if they are on a penalty kill.
• More aggressive behaviors for offensive players after the puck enters the attacking zone.
• User should now have better control over the player when in a shot block animation.
• Players will now help out more in a pinning situation.
• AI is more aggressive on defense during odd man rushes.

• Made default online difficulty harder in unranked games.
• Add ability to sign in to cooperative franchise games from the Team Select screen, allowing for multiple users to play from the same console.
• Fixed OT Losses not tracking correctly in online play.
• Allow custom sliders to be used in unranked matches.
• Fixed the bug where you will randomly gain control of the goalie in Team Up mode.
• Fixed the issue so that users will always maintain the same color during Team Up mode.

• Fixed a disconnect issue that occasionally occurred while the server was down.
• Fixed an occasional disconnect problem in league games when line changes are made.
• Fixed an issue that would cause league games to sometimes abort at the end of the loading screen.
• Fixed an issue when the leader of a Pick-Up party leaves the party in the lobby.

GENERAL

• In Reelmaker, added the ability to turn off the cursor like in replay (hit both bumpers simultaneously).
• Fantasy Drafts now reset all player glove colors to team color instead of custom.

While I generally agree, i'm sure PS3 owners remember 2K8 all too well. 2K8 was patched on 360 but not on PS3. Of course, the PS3 user base was much smaller then. Still, if I was still playing this on PS3, I'd be nervous too.

Except for the fact that the PS3 did not get the 2k8 patch, and also did not get the parametric camera angle and custom soundtracks in 2k10. The PS3 is all too familiar with "the shaft".

boy, makes me glad that I have 2 systems. If I had only the ps3, I would be so anxious right now. This patch has the potential to really make 2k10 a great great game.

2k10 pre-patch was so cloooose, but the d-men ruined it. Prior to finding out that gamekiller, I thought I was in hockey heaven. if they really put work into the d-men....I can honestly say that 2k10 will be the BEST game in the 2k series and could even be the best hockey game of all time.

One thing I missed about playing 2k10 was the great soundtracks....hehe....look forward to enjoying the music in practice mode like I did before. Hope this baby drops in late november......

As i've said time and time again, no PS3 patch and 2k deserves to be second fiddle to EA no matter how more "sim" it may be. You release a product you support it, not half-*** it.

• Fixed the issue so that users will always maintain the same color during Team Up mode.

Guessing this means lock-on in online co-op?

patch or hype for better sales ? Please tell me : Which 2k΄s patch was the GREAT?

You can have 100 patches but if the core gameplay is not as nhl hockey?

Check this out. You probably won't be happy.

Look all the way at the bottom of the page under Technical Concerns where it says patch update.

I can't see how this can be good for 2k business.

I am fortunate enough to have 2 systems so this won't bother me at all. But I said a few pages back how 2k just lacks professionalism. If this is true about the patch being for 360 only, well that's very unprofessional to completely ignore one portion of the fanbase.

If this patch turns out to be golden, which very well could be, guys like Flyermania who is PS3 only and lives and breathes hockey, will miss out.

just a shame, because it looks like 2khockey is starting to turn it around in the game development part (gameplay, AI, etc)....but the customer service is below par at this point.

Yes it is (although I think the PS3 patch is not out yet it has been confirmed). The exact same thing happened with the 2K8 games. NBA 2K8 and College Hoops 2K8 were patched for both systems while NHL 2K8 was only patched on 360. This was the first year that patches became common on both systems as most EA titles received patches as well, also for both systems. since then pretty much every game that gets a patch gets it for both systems.

If the patch is only for the 360 2K can forget about seeing any money from me again and NOT JUST FOR THE NHL SERIES. I will forget 2K ever existed!! I know I'm just one in thousands, but I would hope other PS3 owners would follow suit.

Copy just went up on Ebay. You can't support a product you release, you shouldn't be in business. This is my last message on the 2k forums.. I've been always on the fence but I guess this is why EA is still the King.

when I said the team was unprofessional, you said "gimme a break this and that".....

what do you say NOW ?

it's easy to defend a team when their dealings don't affect you, but when it does....well your response of the ps3 patch news says it all.

Congrats 2k...you've officially lost a long-time customer! I've supported this series since 2k2, through thick and thin, but I will no longer buy any of your products since you don't support the PS3 post-release.

Complaining about not getting the list of fixes is ever so slightly different. We knew the list of fixes was comin' at least, just had to wait for them to KNOW that was what was fixed. Not including the patch for both systems is a much bigger deal, not just to me but everyone that owns a PS3.

I didn't criticize 2k JUST for not letting us know the patch.....it was for 4 years straight of bad marketing, bad games, no patch for ps3. The delay in patch fixes just added fuel to that fire.

Of course it's a huge deal not to include a ps3 patch, but it took something that will affect you directly to criticize 2k. Not even criticize, but vow to " forget that 2khockey existed".<--to which I respond....."gimme a break, if the game is good next year, you'll be back in line ready to spend".....

Here's a quote from We Want The Cup(a Developer) in regards to the patch.

Quote:
The patch is for Xbox 360. It isn't about "supporting the 360 and not the PS3" at all. It has to do with how much support we get from the console manufacturers and I will leave it at that. Unfortunately putting out a patch for the PS3 is not feasible at this time.

I completely understand any frustration that comes from PS3 owners. I would feel the same way. But it isn't personal, it isn't to say "eff you" to anyone. As for the "silence" from 2k members, for one thing we aren't allowed to post status updates upon request from fans. That just never ends well, good news, bad news, or no news. Another thing to consider is that perhaps a decision has or had not been made yet on the issue.

To those of you who think that since PS3 owners cannot have a patch that we shouldn't do one for 360... What if the success of a 360 patch allows us to do a PS3 patch in the future? Something to think about.
