NBA Live 10 News Post

EA has posted another NBA Live 10 blog. This one covers, shooting the rock. Screenshots and 10 minute gameplay video included.

Quote:
"Hi again Live fans. Well, this is the last gameplay blog you guys will see before the NBA Live 10 demo hits PSN and XBL next week. I’m really looking forward to seeing all your homemade videos and reading your feedback. Keep in mind that the demo isn’t final code, so it’s really just a taste of what you’ll see in the full game. Take my word for it, one of the real strengths of Live this year is playing with and against all the different players and teams, which unfortunately, you won’t be able to do in the demo. But I’ll let Novell speak in more detail on just how deep the AI upgrade was this year and how we took player/team differentiation to the next level with Dynamic DNA. I know you sim-heads out there are gonna love it, so expect that blog in the near future.

But with the demo coming soon, we thought it would be good to give you one more tutorial to help you hit the ground running with some of the new gameplay mechanics. And today we’ll talk about everybody’s favorite subject: shooting the basketball."

But it's like did that really really happen. Then you guys feel how responsive the controls are..... Then the graphics... Then the playbooks... then the individual momentum. then the dna data....the rebounding... the ball rim physics... Its just a nice package....

Wow man thats really overwhelming when you think about it

BTW, that end of qtr or end of game replay thing was like a CBS Sports broadcast look IMO

Maybe it was the grainy, old film look to the video

Sometime I really think there is justice. After a really poor year of sportsgaming we finlly get what we deserve. A next generation sports game full of control, authenticity and fun! Appreciation comes right back to the devs who obviously did a truely phenomenal job and they deserve to be called "Devs of the Year", no matter how 2k's looking. Live will be in my PS3 first and right now it also looks like it will stay in there for a long, long time.

Once more I need to point out the atmosphere...Just hear the difference between MIA vs SA regular Season Game and the Raptors Playoff game. MIA-SA was good and Spurs Fans where there, no doubt about it. I liked the noise they made on Wades FT's. Booing but not too intense due to the circumstances. On the other hand Raptors Defense chants like really shows how much they missed the Playoffs...they are going insane! And last but not least Play Off Finals DET vs NO...even more intense whenever CP3 scored...wooooohoooo!!!

Looks good but why are their two 24s on the Spurs?

I don't believe so I could have sworn I pulled off some fades without stepbacks probably just doing the correct button combo or you have to be going a certain speed or something like that.

Game looks good. Better than last year.

Where is the organ in the Knicks footage?

Still seeing a good amount of sliding that wasn't there last year. I guess as Live goes more 2k-like, it's an allowance that will have to be made.

Love:

The Galianari animation after he was hit while shooting.
Love the first Wade drive and foul on Parker.
The stat overlays
Calderon layup

Hate:

The Chalmers turnover (bad animation)
The Roy play (The Cpu dribbled the ball for 7 seconds without moving)
the fact that players on the same team can have the same number (potential problem if we cant edit or control the cpu's roster)
Too many half court passes.
The bench is too active (Its a 6-4 game and they are acting as if its the end of the playoff game)

The numbers will be fixed by DNA... there won't be duplicate numbers in the final game. The first update will take care of all that.
