NBA Live 10 News Post

EA Sports came the Dime Magazine offices to show them where they are in the development of NBA Live 10.

"We’ll have a lot more on the game in the coming weeks, but we can tell you this: NBA Live 10 is very, very good, and is a definitely upgrade over last year’s game.

Some details that we can talk about:

- The detail in the game is crazy, including kicks and tattoos. There are approximately 500 different sneakers in the game, so each player is in the actual kicks he’ll be wearing in real life (including Dwyane Wade in some Jordans. And because the game will be updated online throughout the season, when, say LeBron switches kicks mid-season or for the playoffs, his kicks in the game will switch to reflect the change.

There are about 75 players who have their ink done down to the last detail (including the lips on Kenyon Martin’s neck)."

'dives at the rim take into account collisions with defenders'

what that exactly may mean?

Good question. (I'm guessing) that when a defender is under the basket and a player is about to dunk it, they come into collision/contact? I think. Maybe a new animation I suppose.

Yeah I think my man is getting his sports mixed up or his editor just let someone post it like "whatever"

It looks like a fan is holding up a sign in that KG pic, nice touch.

HAHA, even I didn't know what he meant there. I took it as when a player is trying to DRIVE to the rim all the time, he won't be successful because the game is not a dunkfest this year. You'll hear more from Mike on this soon.

lol...

but good deal is some nice collision detection has been added like in that clip where Varejao tried to dunk on Shard and he fouled him to stop him

No dunk fest this year? YES

Great!
Can't wait for the next infos.

Yeah, pretty sure that's a typo that made it through.. should be "drives" and it would make sense.

And yes, that would be welcome news for either basketball game... I played 2K9 Team-Up last night and we were dunked on over and over again by various LeBrons... so ridiculous.. like 3-4 players in the frame getting yammed on every time.
