Just a quick question, then we can all go back to our complaining.

Do you need XBOX Live Gold to get rosters, or can you do it with a silver account?

Just keep on giving them that $60 blindly every year guys; they love you for it.

University of New Mexico basically has the same roster as '09, they just moved some guys up a year

Both corners #2 and #19 were drafted in April

I don't think you truly understand jsut how bad these rosters are. this is NOT nitpicking. Its like EA didnt even look at last years performance of some players because some are 10 points lower than they should be, some are probably ten times higher than they should be. Players starting that have only seen the field twice in college and have 3 players ahead of them on the depth chart? Its a straight up joke

how do u find these locations for the rosters for ncaa 10 ps3?

Maryland's roster is not right. I only had to look at the QB's to figure this out. #12, and #15 are no longer with the program. #15 left at the beginning of last year, and #12 left at the end of last year.

Who's "updated roster" is this?

Edit: Ricker was #15 (I believe) before he left....but I see that #15 was updated for the incoming freshman from NC. That's my oversight, but #12 is Josh Portis, and he transferred down a level at the end of last year.

DKrause and others will then begin fixing the abundance of mistakes in the NCAA roster file.

Next... I can NOT fathom how EA can release rosters that are this jacked up. Last month we were told that the rosters on the disc were not the "final" rosters and that the roster guy was the real deal. WHAT?!? Are you serious??? Of course.. I keep up with the rosters more than the average person but I will only speak about my favorite team THE Louisville Cardinals.

The Cardinals still have WR #26 JaJuan Spillman on the roster.

How does this happen??? JaJuan Spillman was dismissed from the Louisville football team after his arrest last summer on July 3, 2008. He actively participated on the Tennessee State football team last year and was an ALL-OVC selection.

And to make matters worse... he is Louisville's best receiver on this year's rosters. Really??? A guy that was NOT dismissed earlier this month or even late spring. He was kicked off the team LAST summer!!!

WOW!!!

I'm sure that I will be able to identify the player's on the rosters but it will be a longer process. I also feel sorry for the guys that are trying to FIX this mess. I always feel sorry for the consumers that will be forced to use these terrible rosters in ONLINE ranked matches.
Thank you so much Fairdale for all your hard work!

I am more of a reader here then a writer, but I will say that I am glad I am holding off on buying this game. After last years BS, I would have thought EA would have learned, guess not. it is sad to see such a beloved franchise ripped up.

remember though guys, we are the minority here. Even if we all chose not to buy the game, it would not impact sales that much, which in turn EA still makes a lot of money for designing a mess.

Here is to EA, keep up the great work!

I don't have the game, so am somewhat hesitant to comment, but how hard is it, really, to get the correct rosters into the game? Certainly it's excusable for a player or two to be missing if they are recent transfers, someone to have last year's number if it has changed, a freshman missing here and there. Small, mostly insignificant errors/omissions that easily can be corrected by the user.

But people are saying All-Americans are missing from the game. How the hell does that happen?

No kidding. I would be willing to bet 90% of the people that constantly complain end up buying the game the day it comes out (or earlier). If you don't like what EA is doing, then don't buy it. Take a stand, as drastically lesser sales is probably the only thing that will make EA take notice of the poor job that is being done on this game.

That's not to say you can't complain at all about mistakes, but it's not like these weren't known before today. Those of you that bought it knew well ahead of time that the rosters were screwed up, as well as sliders yet again, and other things just like usual. It may not be a big deal to some either, but that's the other side of the spectrum. People that buy this game every year since it's been created and play it more than any other game are going to notice the errors that constantly happen. A mistake here or there is expected with any game, but with NCAA, these are progressively getting worse and more common each year. The fact that they said rosters would be improved and apparently didn't touch some teams, well that just about sums it all up if you ask me.

I'm passing this year, only because I'm not going to reward the work of the dev. team with $60 of my money. I'm sure once a patch is out and accurate rosters are made by folks on here I could overlook most of the issues, but by that time games like Madden 10 and NHL 10 will be on their way out to the public, and as far as I'm concerned, both are better uses of my money, even if I have generally enjoyed the NCAA series more in the past. I'm fed up with the direction this series is going in, and rather than buy the game again and continue to complain about it, I'm taking the only stand that will likely matter to EA in the long run: $.

[/endrant]

EDIT: And I will add that despite its flaws, I loved NCAA 09 and probably played it more than any other past version of the game. My guess is NCAA 10 will be something similar for many, but like I said before, I just can't justify paying $60 for the work that was done on this game.

I haven't got online this morning but do I have to download these rosters from someone's locker or do they automatically download when I start the game?

# 352 BigDofBA @ 07/14/09 12:53 PM
One more thing for you guys whining about the rosters, technically EA isn't supposed to give us real rosters for legal reasons. We have been lucky to get such accurate rosters in the past. I know it's a pain in the a$$ but at least the rosters are full editable. With morons like Sam Keller filing lawsuits, it's only a matter of time before we get a game with a bunch of completely fictional players.

The sliders are another issue. There are no excuses for that.

From EA's site:

• NCAA FOOTBALL 10 ROSTER MANAGEMENT:
To update a roster file: Select "Team Management" from the main menu and then "View & Edit Rosters". Here you can update your rosters and save it. Once saved, go back to the main menu and select "Xbox LIVE", then "EA Locker", "Upload Roster" where you upload your roster to your EA Locker. Once done, this roster can be shared with anyone else.
To download a roster: From the main menu, select "Xbox LIVE", then "EA Locker", and "Download Roster" where you enter the gamertag. Select "Yes" to download the roster file. Enter a new roster file name and save. Now you need to load the roster. Do this by selecting "NCAA 10" from the main menu, "File Management", and "Load & Delete". Press LT and scroll down to Roster and click "Update".
NCAA Football 10 Product Update: EA locker updates can be found in the following locations:

Xbox 360 - EASCNCAA10

In fairness, the roster issue is a bit more than a "nitpick". A nitpick were the people that were furious with EA's game last year for things like the wrong color shoes. THAT is nitpicking. Having a player on a roster that was kicked off the 2008 team, be the best player on the 2009 team, like FK said, is a serious thing, especially when the community was told (lied to?) that the new "roster guy" was "awesome".

That's the million dollar question. What if Sony left Albert Pujols off of the MLB The Show game? What if EA left Tom Brady off of the Patriots and they still had Matt Cassell QB'ing the Pats? These are legitimate questions and concerns and I would like to see an answer from EA, or even an explanation, as to what the deal is with this roster. Maybe I missed it, has there been a comment about it?

Good, then don't pay your 60 dollars, shut the hell up and get on with your ****ing life. Nut we don't need to keep hearing about it.
I made 1 post about it to share my thoughts. Calm down and begin to realize that not everyone shares the same opinion, and even if they don't, that doesn't mean others can't share theirs.

I also assume since you wont be buying the game that you wont have much more to say in here about it.

Can someone please help me out. I'm sitting at work for the next 5 hours and I have to know. There should be a true freshman linebacker (OLB or MLB) for Texas A&M that is 6'2-6'3 215-235 lbs white guy and good speed(4.5-4.6). He's a really good friend of mine and he did not get red shirted and will be playing in the fall. If I could get some ratings (ovr, speed, awareness, tackle, catch..ect) that'd be awesome if he's on the updated roster! He currently is assigned #43, but I'm sure they got that wrong or just didn't know. Thanks and gig em.

# 359 fantasysportsguy @ 07/14/09 01:16 PM
Stephen, there is a roster question thread where that question can be answered. Good luck!

But they are purportedly trying to do so. If they are not going to do so, because of legal reasons, I completely understand that.

I don't know why, however, if they indeed are trying to deliver accurate rosters, that they haven't even come close to doing so (based on the comments here at least).

It's not really fair for me to comment any further on this, though, since I don't have the game and am just going on blind faith based on others' comments.
