Proof of CPU Control of non-user teams:

See that little "CPU" tag next to the team names and the "vs. CPU" on the team select screen?

I Added the rest of the pics in JPEG format if anybody else wants them, rather than in EA's flash only viewer. Franchise pics in jpeg

Just to answer this one. I posted this in the other O.F. thread, but may as well copy it in because some peeps have the same question:

Unbelievable. I never thought I would see the day. I vowed to never buy a Madden game until online franchise returned. It's been a LONG wait. Still Im super excited.

Would love to know how trades get approved. Would hope that other owners could vote on it kinda like a Fantasy Football League. Cause if not and you got some bum who doesnt want to play any more and then he trades Tom Brady and Randy Moss to the Cowboys for a 7th rd draft pick. Could ruin a league.

Also can 2 oe more people play on the same team/ co-op?

i think the draft should work like fantasy football drafts.(the non live ones). only if players don't want a live draft of course.

for anyone who is not familiar, you rank each player at each position.
then u pick what position u want to draft in which round.

Gamespot article says that the commish can approve/reject every trade. Also notes that you cannot trade for future draft picks.

While online franchise sounds like it's off to a promising start, it likely won't be as in-depth as the Offline Franchise mode...at least at the start. For one thing, trade logic isn't as flexible as it is in real life; you won't be able to trade draft picks for a player, for example. That said, because the franchise information is server-based, it follows that the development folks at EA Tiburon will be able to add features (and, perhaps more importantly, fix bugs) throughout the life of the game. For example, when online franchise was introduced to the press last month, producers told us they were currently in the process of adding commissioner tools that would give a franchise commissioner more control over rosters (presumably for such things as moderating one-sided trades and the like).

I thought the opposite. It sounds like its only going to be one season. I dont want to assume its going to be 30 years like offline franchise but there is a bunch of stuff that have me worried.

Not to bring up the fact that EA did not say it was going to last as long as offline franchise. It normally is EAs marketing ploys to yell out things like this but they didnt. Currently I am worried that it will only be a one season franchise with trades and such.

Why would they bother talking about the "draft" (ie, non fantasy draft) if it weren't multiple years?

IGN's report contradicts Gamespot with some things, namely trading.

This. If you can do that (say take the draft class from your OD on NCAA and send them to Madden.) If so despite my doubts i'm all in.

They say you can start your Online Franchise with a live fantasy "draft". They dont say anything about drafting rookies. With NCAA 09 they said it will be 60 years. It was highlighted EVERYWHERE but with Madden 10 online franchise they have not said if it will be 1 year or 30 years. This being left out on the marketing side makes you have to question how long it will be. They dont even say you can scout the rookies which we know is a big part of offline franchise this year from the blogs.

Perhaps that's because NCAA had to differentiate from last year's version which, I think, was capped at 30 years. I doubt that Madden will be one year, especially because the IGN article says that you can trade future draft picks. A lot of good that would do you if you couldn't play more than one year.
