Check out the new NCAA Football 10 blog. This one detailing the dynasty mode.

"Recruits have undergone an overhaul to when they are created in Dynasty Mode. We are creating a situation where you simply do not "reload" with freshmen every year and instead have to actually allow your players to grow into juniors or senior for the majority of your roster."

Sounds alot better then it did a couple weeks ago. Good to see more realism when it comes to schedules. One question Notre Dame never has 8:00 start times at home. This usually happened at the last game of the season. Was this fixed as well?

I still feel polls will be messed up.

Yes, extremely careful.

Sounds like good stuff.......... I may like the recruits not coming in off the bat as a high rating.......... could curb the issue of QBs on deep teams able to progress to 92 overall without playing a down..........

But I'll play a little Negative Nancy here..........

Team Prestige is now a much bigger factor in Progression; the quality of your team will influence how fast your players gain attributes.
This could be somewhat of a problem for mid-majors finding their own Ben Roethlisberger, Byron Leftwich, or DeMarcus Ware.

Should be the fairly rare player that comes along and progress a little faster than the other players on his team to let the occasional star player have his presence on a mid-major squad, such as a Jarett Dillard........... hopefully this policy doesn't disallow the better non-BCS teams having a player or two get in the 90s overall........

Good stuff in that blog, but like a whole lot of other people have said I am hella worried about the speed raising every year.I'm just imagining a HB coming in as a 78/79 freshman year and leaving as a 97/98 due to rapid inflation.Scary thought if you ask me.

I love the updates to recruiting. As fun as it was to take a team like Duke and pull recruits in by year 2 it will be much more rewarding having a more difficult time. I also am a big fan of less 80+ recruits so that I am not always starting freshmen and sophomores by years 2 and 3.

Even if that is the case (I hope it isn't), they've stated that the speed diffferences this year are not as drastic. The difference between a 94 and a 99 isn't NEARLY as noticeable as it was in 09.

I hope that the speed raising isn't overdone anyways.

I would like to think that there is no way a player could go from 78 speed to 98 speed. Hopefully it will be more around 3-7 speed points based off of stats IE YPC, YPR, etc.

...As players adjust to college and improve their "game speed".

Great work team, some much needed additions and tweaks were added here.

I'm glad recruits will not come in as 80+ as often, which means you will not be starting new recruits by season 2 of a dynasty. But I think we are missing something important:

On the downside, rosters are so small in this game that many teams have no depth on their rosters. For example, I find that many teams have so few OL on the roster that by time your seniors graduate after year 1 you have to start a true FR the next year. Without larger rosters, we will be forced to start bad players in year 2 because EA did not include enough depth in the original roster.

I hope it isn't based on stats and based more upon the prestige of the school and the players potential. Stat based progression needs to stick to MMO's.

Just started a thread about that. I think awareness should represent game speed.

I like the idea of recruit ratings being scaled down but if you do this I hope you also scale down player ratings like Madden has done this year. I no longer want to see the third best safety on Florida who has done nothing in college rated in the high 80s.

Keep up the good work.

Also, I would like to mention that I am not a fan of the season showdown mode. This does not seem to appeal at all to the hardcore gamer and sounds more like a tradition fluff feature. Maybe there is more to it than I have heard so far but as of now I would rather have improvements to presentation and gameplay.

Just my 2 cents.

I'm in year 2012 of a dynasty right now. So I went to view all rosters and sorted by speed:

1. 99 (Darius Miles )
2. 98
3. 97
4. 97
5. 97
6. 97
7. 96
8. 96
9. 96
10. 96
