Playstation.Blog has posted another MLB 09 The Show blog. This one covers the little things that help the game shine.

"Hey everyone, Greg Batalucco (Game Designer) and Clayton Read (Associate Producer) here to bring you the next installment of the MLB 09 The Show blogs. This entry will focus on all the little details added this year to The Show that give it an added touch of realism. For this year’s version we wanted to make the game as accurate as possible and included in MLB 09 The Show are actual team mascots, new and improved stadium jumbotrons with game related movies, K boards, realistic crowds, and improved lighting and skies throughout the stadiums. All these enhancements add to the overall gaming experience to make MLB 09 The Show as real as it gets."

You're as young as you feel. I'm ready for the release of this game.

Experience is the best policy. Remember High Heat Baseball, MVP Baseball, Microsoft baseball, Triple play Baseball, I did all the roster updates for those games. I also did face updates for these games too.

We need an early release so it can stimulate this economy. The sales for this game alone would really help out. It would be nice to have discount for the game but we need to boost this economy right now.
I wonder what video games will be liek when I'm 53...probably pretty freaking nuts.

man you must be in heaven right now...

do you remember "Baseball" on atari?

If you zoom in on the players, some of them are chewing...at least the batters are.

I also saw Kazmir spit on the grass behind the mound after giving up back to back bombs followed by a double.

Awesome!

So if I'm not mistaken about the crowds this game will have "dynamic" attendance? Which also means in the pre-game screen the crowd numbers will change every game? For example in demo video over at pastapadre.com the attendance said something like 23,300 people so that number should change every game and reflect what it looks like in the stadium right?

Baseball on ColecoVision or IntelliVision. That controller was ridiculous. It was like a TV remote.

PLEASE TELL ME DO FANS CATCH/ PICKUP HOME RUN/ FOUL BALLS THIS YEAR...OR SHOW A CUT SCENE OF A FAN HOLDING UP HIS SOUVINER. THIS DETAIL WOULD MAKE THE GAME OVER THE TOP...I HOPE THEY JUST DONT REACH FOR THE BALL THIS YEAR....THIS IS MY ONLY WISH...AND I THINK IT WOULD MAKE THIS GAME JUST PERFECT

# 153 UNIT-352 @ 02/11/09 09:03 PM
SINCE THERE IS SO MUCH DETAIL ON THE CROWD THIS YEAR PLEASE TELL ME THEY CATCH OR PICKUP BALLS THAT ARE HIT INTO THE CROWD...EITHER FOUL OR HOMERUNS....THIS NEEDS TO BE ADDED....BUT HOME IT ALL READY HAS. I HATE WATCHING THE CROWD REACH AND THEN SEEING THE BALL NEXT TO ONE OF THE FANS LEGS IN THE REPLAY.....PICK IT UP!!!!!!!AND HOLD IT UP TO SHOW OFF!!!!!!!!

no worries man. Yeah, I'd love to see the fans actually grab the ball this year, but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Oh and by the way UNIT...
