The official Fight Night Round 4 website has posted a Q&A session with their community.

Quote:
Community: "Is the Legacy Mode the same as career mode?
Is Legacy Mode another name for Career Mode or is it a deeper experience?
How in depth will the legacy mode be? In the past the career mode was kind of garbage."

FNR4 Team: "Yes, Legacy Mode is the name for Career Mode. Everybody on the team is aware of the shortcomings in FNR3's career mode. Mike Mahar and Raymond Lo are working hard to ensure Legacy Mode is a deeper and more authentic experience. It includes new training games, divisional rankings, multiple titles in each division and several other features that you will hear more about in the weeks and months to come."

If we're assuming they can't keep the ref out of the way, no, I wouldn't want it. But why wouldn't they be able to keep him out of the way?

Depending on the fight, a boxing ref can be more involved than refs from other sports. A "crafty" boxer like Hopkins, the ref is constantly breaking clinches, giving warnings, ect.

Or a heavy weight fight, late rounds, those guys start hugging a lot. A ref becomes an essential part of the fight.

Depending on the fight, refs in boxing can be the most involved of any sport. I want them in for that reason.

Give the producers a break this go round, they are working off a new engine. Now, if they do a Madden not have the chain gain for how many years now?!? The developers/producers quality or quantity, not say there isn't going to be alot to be excited about.

Dude. He's in the game. You just can't see him. I get no satisfaction whatsoever of visually seeing the ref, unless im trying to get up from the mat. As long as there are breaks, warnings, stoppages, etc. im fine. And FN round 4 will have that. Sheesh.

Will each fighter still fight exactly the same as the other or will they actually have unique tendencies and styles?

Each boxer has his own individual style....you can see that in the Fight Night Round 4 leaked footage. Tyson fought like Tyson and Ali fought like Ali.

2K's Prizefighter was garbage too. It's poor graphics and gameplay is the reason why a referee was there.

WWE/WWF has had a referee in its games for years. A ref that even can become part of the action (being knocked out, hit etc) AND a deep CAP mode. You can literally re-create any wrestler in history. Why not boxing?

Funny. People who want a authentic boxing experience wants no referee. They should include real life refs and their tendencies..Steele, being prone to stopping fights early.. Tony Perez, not stopping a fight when he should..Home town refs, that favor the home town boxer.

I want the most authentic experience they can give us, but complaining now isn't going to make them put one in. I asked for a pool of referees with different tendencies when I made that wishlist the producer's talk about.

Does anybody know if they got rid of "Attribute enhancing accessories"

I really liked FN R3, but that crap is just stupid.....Ooh my trunks are silver instead of white and oh yeah I get 10+ hit power with them

If I want to change the color of my trunks, I shouldn't have to freaking worry about any Rating Drops...

To go a step further it would be sweet if they had something like Forza does with their paint schemes editor
