The CPU will still hit a high % if you can't play D. I was played tight D, and was getting a 45-48% clip for both user and CPU. Much better than the 58-65% before patch. I mean, if you just let the CPU go into the lane without contest, well, expect a score.

anyone tried to run a 5-on-5 yet?

yes, I've noticed it too fastbreaking is almost perfect now and players react quicker to the action on the court, f.e when there is a steal, one or two guys immediately run on a break

Is the patch good enough where we don't need sliders anymore? Can we play on default with a few minor slider adjustments?

our playing on pro what do you expect.

Well backing down is definitely a lot harder now. I tried to backdown JR Smith with Wilson Chandler and it felt like I was backing down a wall.

I just played a game of 5v5 with the Clippers against the Blazers. This happened to be the first game of 5v5 I have been able to finish. FINALLY! But I don't want to get your hopes up. It is major improvement over the previous games I played pre-patch. However, there is still the occasional major slowdown and the presence of lag has not gone away. All I know is that it is much better than before, though nothing compared to the 5v5 I played in Live 08...haven't played Live 09 yet.

I am seeing better backdown resistance now.

Also I don't understand why some of you thought that post patch would give you default realistic shooting %s. Remember we are the minority.

guys, have you noticed that when you run a play players do not walk anymore but RUN through screens - it seems it has been fixed

I also get the impression that they made playing d more physical

I definitely see more midrange jumpers

I tried backing down Chamberlain with Cowens and got pushed damn near to mid court. Only game play issue is that im starting to get fouled on every drive to the lane but hopefully sliders'll fix that.

Also unfortunately CAPS and legends still dont show up in the league leaders section during season/association.

Game stats: the final score is 84-69 Blazers

Knicks(cpu) shot 27\62 43% FG 7\20 35% 3P 8\9 FT

32 points in the paint

Blazers(me) shot 34\57 59% FG 4\11 36% 3P 12\18 FT

38 points in the paint

As I stated earlier, players now run through screens instead of walking, which additionally gets you an open shot and more room ( the defender recovery time seems slower). I guess what they did, if it is possible at all, was that they made offensive player quicker in order to decrease defensive player's recovery time.

I've played 3 games so far on pro with default sliders and had a blast

Muzyk23,

Do you see players running to set picks as well? they always seemed to run off screens for me.

# 35 edubbs @ 12/02/08 06:02 PM
They still walk sometimes after the patch.

running? I'm not sure, but I've seen good and timely picks set

Thanks edubbs. They definetly need to work on that for next year. Sometimes these cats run plays like a plumber getting paid by the hour..takes all day.

Thanks Muzyk. I'll check this out tonight.

I checked on this Ninja. They definitely do not walk to set picks. I would say their reaction is good.

Guys, I can't stress it enough - fastbreaks are perfect and I see more midrange game and ball movement by the cpu.

No, system updates have no relation to game patches.
