The Post Game is SO MUCH FASTER. I'm surprised no one else has seemed to point this out - Bynum is literally breaking Rasheed the **** DOWN right now, and when I just got Sheed on Fisher for a backdown, the fake-left hook-right I pulled off was so fluid I had to come post about it.

For those of you that are saying you are seeing new animations, how do you know you just haven't SAW those animations before instead of attributing them to the patch being in place now?

As far as the post game, and this is PS3 Patch speaking, the moves are all regular speed now. Maybe it wasn't like this really on 360, but all the post moves felt like they were in quicksand. Now I'm seeing Bynum and Gasol constantly using finesse in the paint and when I tried a fake-left hook-right with Sheed it took one fluid motion to pull off, it wasn't like a bunch of canned stuff that wouldn't string together and took a full second each to pull off. I jsut tried it again with Maxiell on Odom and OH MY GOD. The post is so quick now, I can't believe it.

But you're right, it's pretty ridiculous that Maxiell can't backdown Odom even a little bit. It's like a brick wall as far as backing down. But the post moves themselves are craaaaaaazy now.

I saw Danny Granger root Elton Brand right out of the blocks on 3 straight trips down court. Brand couldnt move him. Elton Friggen Brand, couldnt out muscle a small forward that he has 30 pounds on. That was the final straw for me. I almost tossed my shoes though my living room window.

Yea, I jsut saw Kobe Bryant PUSH SHEED BACK 2 steps before I gave up on posting him up. WOW.

A lot of other things seem almost perfect now, and I switched back to default sliders and official Insider rosters (J-Rich is down to a 85 on 3s I noticed ) with 11min Qs on All-Star so far from BLSim2 and Nogster's. But that's a pretty big new flaw.

Because new animations were added via the patch. Simple.

So far so good for me. A tweak here ad there and the game seems like new in many areas. All I need is a new release from nogster and I am all set. I played a handful of games with different teams and the game just feels more fluid. I do still still see a few things, but I know with this community here @ OS, someone will figure it out and we will have the best bball game to date.

Can someone sim a season to see how much the stats have been improved?

I simmed a season, and I don't have the specific stats, but a few things did stand out that I definitely remember:

There were only 2 teams that averaged over 100 points per game (Phoenix and Golden State). No team averaged 50% FG percentage either, where pre-patch, there were multiple teams that did.

Dwyane Wade led the league in scoring with 26+ (season high 43)
Howard was the rebound leader with 11+ (season high 19 boards)
Paul was the assist leader averaging 9+
LeBron's season high was only 36

Kobe was nowhere amongst the top scorers (20 point scorers), so I checked the injured list...he wasn't there either. Finally I go to the Laker team stats. Kobe was averaging better than 18ppg! The Lakers as a team averaged like 96 ppg (they did have like 5 double digit scorers though).

OJ Mayo won ROY averaging 16+ (in real life, he's at like 22 ppg)
Rose averaged 14 ppg and 7 assists (in real life, hes putting up 19 and 6)
Beasley averaged 15 and 7 boards (in real like, he's averaging 14 and 6)
Oden averaged like 8 and 6 (in real like, he's averaging more boards than that)

I think Coaching Profiles would fix most of these stats in regards to tempo and fast breaks. Lakers are the highest scoring team, but their tempo and fast break tendencies are too low. No reason for Kobe to average 18 when his shot tendency is 95-99 or whatever it is.

Same with Rebounds and assists...less shots mean less rebounds and assists. No reason for Howard to only average 11 rebounds. More than likely, its due to teams playing slower than they should.

PPG - 25 for Team Tempo causes the SImmed Stats to produce some nice Team PPG numbers

I have Dwight averaging 13 board

I wish I had the hardware to share the CPUs shot chart with all of you. It was disgusting. Youve all had the game long enough to guess what it was like though.

Ive had the game going on 3 weeks now, and I have given it more then a fair shot. I just do not like it, and am now at a point where I cant even look at the box without feelings of disgust and rage. To hell with that. It's not staying on my shelf one more day.
Wow. This is a video game...i think....last time I checked. If you get feelings of disgust and rage over a Video game...there might be some underlying issues that you might need help with. sorry bro.

I'm confused. What exactly did u do to the tempo?

# 174 DC @ 12/03/08 12:00 PM
Go to ESPN and take a teams PPG Average and subtract it by 25 to get each team's Tempo

# 175 DC @ 12/03/08 12:02 PM
My fault subtract 35

How did u come up with that formula? Just randomly?

# 177 DC @ 12/03/08 12:14 PM
Just random; trial and error. Before the patch I was using -65. But now I am at -35. It is giving some nice numbers

DC - Whose roster set are you using? (Sorry, I couldn't remember). Simmed stats are important to me in every sports game and it looks like you results are pretty solid.

Who led the league for you in scoring and how many PPG?

Thanks!

# 179 DC @ 12/03/08 12:23 PM
I use my own rosters. I am not done with every team yet so I can't get an accurate look on most things. I have like 5 teams left. Durant is leading the league in scoring but I haven't edited OKC yet. D Wade and Bron lead when looking at the teams I have finished.

Did u mess with the fast breaks at all? I know certain teams tempo and fast breaks are too low on the default roster set. Sixers is a perfect example. They play a kind of slow tempo, but they get out on fast breaks.

The Suns slowed the tempo since they got Shaq, but they still run on the break.

I'm gonna mess with these tempo and fastbreak sliders and see what I come up with. Question is...if the simmed stats are perfect, will that equate to better gameplay? For some reason, I don't think it will.
