Countryboy can you give me the overall rating of #15 Guard on UConn when you get a chance?

I thought this was for impressions. Not to find out overall ratings. These threads are going to get really long very fast. Let's not let this happen.

Mods you can delete this. I just wanted to say that. Sorry. Please back on topic of IMPRESSIONS ONLY.

With that being said. CB what's the first impression of the game play?

My bad... you are right. Thanks though CB

haven't played yet, still editing UofL's roster. I agree, please don't ask ratings questions in here. I'll be happy to answer most anything else.

One thing I hope they fix next year is the naming players. Its cool that they have a database of last names that are in the game, but its slow to scroll through. Also, when you edit the last name, it always ask if you want to use a name in the database or make up your own. Very annoying.

can you play in Madison Square Garden?

Well fired up the game, a little dissapointed in the fact that ND has a generic stadium...AGAIN.

I really like how the team runs their offense sets though, I feel like if I play good defense, I can force them into a bad shot. Also, the spacing is very nicely done, there is room to run your offense , create and distribute.........

So far the atmosphere has been pretty decent, the crowd has been loud and consistent........Presentation seems too be on par with last years game though..

Would you say the retail is exactly the same as the demo in terms of game play?

Is there still the lag in the edit player feature? Live's edit player was really slow and it took a couple of seconds for the player to load.

Hope they fixed it. I'll help edit some players but, if it's not fixed then forget it.

for those wondering, if any were, you can turn Auto Subs on.

I didn't play Live so I have nothing to compare it to, but yes, its more annoying than it should be to edit players.

Can anyone tell me if the neutral sites in the NCAA Tournament are generic or authentic. I remeber way back in the MM days the courts would just have a different coored paint area and everything else would be the same.

I would say its pretty close to the demo. Nothing really jumps out, other than the animations seems a little smoother. The commentary is pretty basic, and if I hear " up and in" one more time from Nessler......off they go. In one half, I must have heard that line 8 times.

For those upset with the dark arenas, they have included a game brightness and contrast slider to help out. Thankfully they did, because it looked like Freedom Hall was running on half power.

Also, the letter for Big East in the paint at the Hall is ugly looking and there is no Denny Crum court signature on the court.

I just played the finals of the NIT, and it is played at Empire State arena.....

It says it is home to the Knicks and the Liberty. Its not the Garden , but it has a Garden feel to it.

Is there the actual NIT though if you don't make the big dance?

Are most of the arenas generic?

# 17 countryboy @ 11/18/08 11:46 AM
The gameplay imo is exactly like the demo. There isn't anything that seems different.

The player faces are hideous. I'll have to take the time to edit my Cardinals later.

If you adjust the brightness level, also adjust the contrast level to the same spot, makes a huge difference.

Autosubs is a nice addition that i have wanted in the previous versions (March Madness) for years. How hard is it to find out how many fouls a player has? One thing that made the game hard last year was not only did you have to handle all substitutions, but you would have to pause the game, open the stats, scroll over a ways to find out how many fouls your players had on them. Additionally, if you had named your players and you went to substitute, it would have the player name, but from the quick sub screen it would not have their position. For a quick pickup and play game that was tough because you might not know if Joe Jones was a guard or a forward.

I hope little things were fixed like that. As someone who actually enjoyed the last few versions it is good to here things like autosubs were added. I like to control subs in dynasty mode but if you pick up and play sometimes you want that handled for you. Keep the info coming - thanks!

Boo.

Anyone find out if you can edit the classic teams? That could be a pretty big disappointment if they didn't add that this year.
