I remember someone was saying earlier that you couldn't shoot off the dribble, I am glad to see that that is not true. That was a beautiful looking animation by Alston at the 3:32 mark of the game clock.
I think that was in reference to pull up jumpers. You still have to take the extra step like in 2k8.
This was BY FAR the best gameplay video, (aside form the HD gametrailers one of course). The off ball movement and some of the animations are jaw dropping. The onyl thing that was weird was tony parker doing a magical 360 dribbling up to half court. Just to show how laggy these videos are, watch the scorers table when they are running down the court, it looks like it's running at 30 fps LOL. That definitely hold back how great this game actually looks. Great videos Steve, hope to see another gameplay video soon, preferrably Blazers vs someone

And oh my God, they played Mystikal (or a variation of "Here I Go") at around the 2:44 mark of the gameclock. That's tight!
Seeing Artest playing ball denial was nice, even if it was on Bowen. This will be nice putting top defensive players on top offensive ones.
The crowd and atmosphere is just sick.
say trobinson can you youtube the other videos to, thanks.

Blazers vs magic would be nice...D-howard vs greg oden. Of course though the magic will win.
Try this if you have the time....if you have 2k8 try to just play your custom soundtracks like normal while you play the game then lisen to this video and you will notice the difference between reverb and no reverb.
Yeah, I went back and heard it... it does have some reverb on it but the highs are still too pronounced. Take a listen to this sound clip if you get a chance, to me this is how real arena music should sound. http://cid-d581f6952c294aeb.skydrive...2K9%20BIP?uc=2

This game does have reverb(not as much as nhl09 which is one of the best sports games to come out on the 360) but it sounds good enough.
lol...we will see but we do have the best coach in the league! stan the man van gundy!! 2009 champs!!!. steve are you putting up any more video's tonight??
they still look to be tied in with the score overlay on the top of the screen? I saw a blocking foul being mentioned up there like last year.
but we do see a "info" overlay on the bottom of the screen when Parker is shooting the FT.. his school, years pro, etc...
there going in the right direction. but with the new TV presentation and cutscenes REAL stat overlays are a must.
That parker jumpshot looked amazing. look at his feet??
2k9 has so many animations its scary.
btw, steve what level is this? I saw a legitimate USER fastbreak. if this is on all pro or higher, id be ecstatic.
you can also see the CROWD being shut down and silenced? It's 100% possible to not have a huge "playoff" type atmosphere 24/7. making those moments that more exciting when they happen
I think Steve has the overlays turned off or something. I saw a few in the gamestop and gametrailers videos but none in the OS videos.
The only negative I saw was how bunched up the players got at times. If there was a bit more space between the players I think the game would play even better.
One thing I liked about the Live demo is how you can break off of a play and still making something happen. Because there is enough space from player to player to improvise a little.
Where as in this game it seems like breaking away from a play causes the players to get bunched up. And I think its because of the small amount of space between each player.
Even with the improved off ball AI its still hard for the CPU to understand they have to move. Because the space between you and them may not be large enough for the AI to see whats going on and then react accordingly, in a fast manner that is.
If this game had the spacing found in Live it would be great because it would give the AI more than enough time to react to whats going on. Which I think is the biggest problem for this game in terms of spacing.
