We have just posted some more screenshots from our beta copy of Major League Baseball 2K8. These include create a player, jerseys and a few other odds and ends.
I'm loving the throwback jerseys... I'm also intrigued by the 2k beats screens. Did I see a screen for player specific walk-up music, as well as game situation music?

I'm intrigued as well. It's been asked many times whether custom stadium/player music made the final cut and the answer has always been no. Screenshot #119 seems to prove otherwise, however. The remaining question is how robust are the editable playlists that we see (only Default and Sample are listed).
Steve, is there any possibility you could look into the stadium beats/playlist editor?? TIA
My guess is player specific walk-up music didn't make the cut, but Stadium beats did. I would be happy with only Stadium beats for this year as long as they bring player specific walk-up music back next year. It's one of the few things I loved from 2k5.
Okay , thanks man question #1; For these custom beats(player beats), do you have to use the in game songs or can I have a song from my playlist saved on my hard drive?
One of the nice things about the card feature is that you don't have to do the individual card tasks to get cards. There are wildcards awarded pretty much every game. And if you play on higher difficulties you are even more likely to earn wildcards. A wildcard can be any card or it can also be a pack of cards. If you're not into collecting the cards then you can sell them for credits and buy packs. Each pack has 10 cards and I'm pretty sure you are guaranteed to get at least one stadium or uniform in a pack. Then you can sell the other 9 cards for more credits.
This is a compound question, sorry if you find these worthless questions.....question #2: Is the State Farm Home Run Derby mode better than previous years? The hitting felt nothing like it did in a game and the measurements were off badly, so does it feel more like a game or natural feel or is it like last year and noneffiecent with the game?

Woah, how did I miss this screen?? Maybe individual player beats did make it in!!!!
Steve, I just played the 2K7 demo, and in the 3 innings of play I had 3 HR's got thrown out twice trying to get a double off balls that hit the wall, and had 2 HR's robbed. Please tell me this doesn't happen in 2K8.
