More Major League Baseball 2K8 Beta Screenshots - CAP's, Jerseys, Etc.

We have just posted some more screenshots from our beta copy of Major League Baseball 2K8. These include create a player, jerseys and a few other odds and ends.

WTF...I don't care about throwbacks, but from looking at the screens, each team only has one alternate. That sux, this means there is no diamondbacks red jersey, brewers blue jersey, rockies black jersey, no bp jerseys. Instead of adding all those throwbacks, 2k should have spent their time creating the jerseys that teams actually wear....

There is the brewers blue and rockies black and the bp jerserys are free downloads. I'm not as sure about the d-backs red, but for some reason I think thats in there too.

Then again, i could be wrong about all this. I'm a yankees fan and we stick to tradition.

I am fairly certain I played some games with the brewers blue jerseys and I believe there were bugs on the rockies black - there was some confusion because I think they have two versions of the black - one that says Colorado or Rockies across the chest and another with an interlocking CR on the left breast. Either way, I'm pretty sure one version of that black Rockies alt is in the game.

Ok if that's true, then that still means that they must have left out the brewers other alternate (the one with the pinstripes), and the rockies purple jersey. I saw in a video that the diamondbacks had their black alternate, so that must mean that their red alternate is not in the game since by looking at the screenshots, each team only has one alternate...correct???

I dont think that thats necessarily correct. I know last year the Mets had more than one alt. I dont think the Rockies purple is in though and I'm pretty certain the brew crew does not have a modern pinstripe jersey, though I'm pretty sure they have a throwback pinstripe. I like the rockies purple, so it is a shame if thats not in. There is always the chance more will be offered as DLC as well throughout the season. Though I think most DLC will be stadiums.

As I recall, 2k7 had home, road, alternate, and extra. The mets all white home uni without the pinstripes was listed under extra, as well as the brewers modern pinstripe, but in the 2k8 screens, no team has the extra category....now all there is is home, road, and alternate. Which means the mets only have the black jersey, and no all white home uni without pinstripes. Did they run out of space? Will these extra ones be available for download in addition to the cool base ones?

thanks alot steve we all appreciate it.........wowwwwwww custom music i loved this feature in nfl2k5 yes yes n yes.....................i didn't think custom tracks made it into the game this year, it was a feature brinkman or no one else mentioned as a feature........

I dont think I saw it in any of the screenshots, but is there an option to have batting gloves in your back pocket while out on the field.

They still didn't get the numbers in there for CAP or the sliders. I don't see how hard that would be considering you can pick if the top button is buttoned or not. That makes it really tedious for CAP makers, especially since we can do full minors again this year. I'm really disappointed in that.

So when you are creating a guy you have to count the clicks yourself.

You can do combinations of low, regular and high for all the generic stances, at least in 2K7 you could. Such as high open, low open, regular open, etc. So there's technically 21 generic, not really enough but better than 7.
