Operation Sports to Demo Major League Baseball 2K8 Tomorrow

Matt Blumenthal will be representing Operation Sports at a meeting with 2K Sports tomorrow afternoon, to view a demo of Major League Baseball 2K8.

If you have any questions about the game, feel free to post them here. He will do his best to get the answers after the event, as time permits. We'll post the writeup of the event later this week.

Meatball pitches . . . I know this issue has been beaten to death but it would be great to hear that it is not as prevalent a problem as some of the videos made it seem to be. I want to be able to throw mistake pitches that aren't crushed for HRs, but instead land outside the strikezone.

How are the walks and pitch counts?

I don't recall walking the CPU many times last year. Is it more prevalent this year? Are there realistic pitch counts, not like 50 for the CPU and 75 for the Human.

Looks like there are more foul balls this year. Is there a foul ball slider ala HH and MVP?

I'd like to know what strides they have actually made with regards to grass and air friction this year. Or if he could find out whether the grass and dirt play the same kind of hop on the ground.

I'll also be interested in learning more about the sliders. How many are there, what are they, etc?

I know it would be impossible to walk away from the demo with a "list" of sliders... but having one would be sweet.

Can you switch between user-controlled franchise teams more easily this year? Last year, I tried to do a franchise with both the Cubs and the Twins, and I had to log in to a completely separate profile to play with one team or the other. Unless I was doing something completely wrong, I hope that's been fixed.

Yeah, I would think with BB saying on Friday the demo was submitted that we should see it sooner than later I would hope. First thing I checked when I got home from work today.....pathetic I know.

I'd guess you would save time checking here, first. The second it's up, it spreads on message boards like the plague.

Now there's rumors the SHOW will be released early. Way to go 2k, releasing the demo after the Game release of The Show. 2k sure knows how to lose a competition.
