It's NASCAR. What else is there to say? If you're a NASCAR fan, you'll like it. If not, it'll probably get old quick.

A huge step up from last year's version. Although as a NASCAR "rookie" I think they could have done a better job of informing the uninitiated how to better prepare our cars for the big race. I've had a ton of fun playing '09 this year.

Provides a good racing expierience, but career modes are terribly lacking and unrealistic.

Gave the game a 7 since there is still room for improvement. The game 2 years ago was on a major downhill with a ton of useless game features (Team Control). I sort of miss the featherlites class.

It has some minor kinks in the armor but is easily one of the best console sims to be produced. N09 sticks with what it knows, ovals, and that maybe its downfall for some. However, concentrating on a single discipline has its advantages; allowing the devs to worry about all the right stuff instead of how many car licenses they need to secure.

N09 nails so much that it is the first console racer that feels like it could just as happily live on a PC. From the big stuff like physics, ai, graphics and customization to the little stuff like pit stops, in car views, tire wear and flags N09 has it. On top of that it puts together one of, it not the, most robust online packages to come down the racing pipe and does it virtually lag free.

I wasn't a NASCAR fan going in and only moderately receptive to ovals but N09 has made a believer out of me.
