WWE 2k25

So last night on raw we got to see that 2k25 is going to get a trailer soon I believe. So I don’t want to get my hopes up but should I expect more of the same like most 2k games?

Man I really miss here comes the pain and how the story was/backstage.

I doubt universe will have much added to it but I really hope GM has a lot more stuff to do

Re: WWE 2k25

My yearly gripe about this game..

I can't understand how this game launches with champions, characters, attires, venues, etc. all out dated!

I understand they have to have a cut off right? I get that, but how is it that with their creation suite and what they have on their back end don't we get a roster update for appearances, attire, and even ratings?

Venues, create something as close to you can with what again the game has to offer.

It seems so simple, yet we can't get it.

Even throughout the year after some PPV's, say every two months get some attire and likeness updates. Game launches at the end of March? Updates at the end of May, July, September, November, and one more in January right before marketing starts for the next years game.

But, at the very least give us a Roster Share so we can download edited rosters from Hype/DC & Co.

UGH.. That is all!

That's my biggest issue as well. My go-to example is Pete Dunne. He dropped the Butch character and went back to Pete Dunne roughly 2 whole months *before* 2K24 came out. But we've been stuck with Butch in the game for a year now.

They're a fully licensed WWE game. They should be able to get entrance theme changes into the game. They should be able to update attires/characters. They should be able to add updated/new titles. They represent a medium that constantly evolves and changes, and the game just flat out doesn't reflect that.

I know they're technically two separate studios, but the NBA folks constantly update face scans and haircuts and **** like that. The WWE side of 2K should be able to as well.

That's my biggest issue with the game and is the primary reason I'm considering not getting 2K25.

Unless there’s something special added like promos but better than before I’ll probably just stick with 24. It was my fav since 14.

I kinda agree here.

With the amount of work I put into the CAW roster and attributes this year; 25 will have to offer something reeeeeally special and unique for me to jump ship on day 1.

First time in a while I'd actually wait.

I mean, the way they add, remove, add, remove, add, remove Legends and whatnot, its ridiculous.

Just keep a foundation and keep adding and adding.
.The amount of redundant work I do on these yearly games is maddening.

Not to mention the ridiculous wait for all the DLC with 2K24. I always hated waiting 4-5 months for all the packs to come out in years past but this year was twice as long.

Barring something major for 2K25, I'll just play 2K24 and wait for the holiday sales to get the new one cheaper and once all the DLC is out.

Not fully surprised that this game will release on last gen. This is a game that I'm not sure how well it would sell if it dropped last gen. But, it would be nice to start seeing more of these games go current gen only and take a leap. For the most part, I enjoyed the brief time I played 2k24 after not really playing since the THQ days

Re: WWE 2k25

I agree with you guys about possibly waiting for 2K25.
Unlike the sports leagues WWE has no season. So while you might want to buy The Show or Madden to play along side your favourite team, since if you were to buy Madden in March it might feel weird, you could pick up WWE2K anytime since there is always wrestling going on.
It's actually one of the things I like about playing universe is that anytime of year is wrestling "season"

I hope with how good WWE develops the stories in feuds that maybe the game gets a big upgrade in the outside the ring stuff. Otherwise it's just a fighting game and gets boring unless you come up with things on your own.
