Smackdown Live 8/23/16: Ambrose vs Styles incoming?

RAW was kind of a dud for me...their main event scene is pretty thin. I mean come on, Big Cass is competing for the Universal title next week...ugh.

Meanwhile on Smackdown, Cena may have hinted to another leave of absence by leaving his armband in the ring last night after the match. But that's okay because AJ Styles became a bonafide WWE Superstar last night after putting on a ***** classic with Cena and it looks like he's next in line for the WWE title shot.

I've never been very high on Ambrose because I find his in-ring work to be very mediocre and boring. He's great on the mic, don't get me wrong. His gimmick screams "brawler" but he has the worst punches in the game. He and Ziggler actually got me excited for their match and it was a huge DUD. I think Ambrose should have a short title reign and Styles is ready to be champion. There is not a better performer in WWE right now than AJ Styles and I believe it's his time.

I mean seriously, would anyone at this point be opposed to seeing Styles as the champion? Ain't nobody more deserving IMO, he's far better than everyone on that SD roster. Mic skills are getting better too, despite him having some bad lines here and there.

I'm so excited to see what they've got planned for Styles, the way he won last night, pretty much the only thing they could have done to give him more of a rub would be to give him a win over Brock. Might as well put the title on him now because the way he has been performing, it's unfair to everyone else in the locker room to have Styles in a match that isn't last on the card, his matches are that tough to follow


I hate the heel authority figure, but I feel like Ambrose is a guy that is just meant to foil the evil GM/Commissioner and just generally being a pain in their ***

I just wish Face Styles was going to win the belt and not Heel Styles.
