Hey guys. Before I get this thing under way, I just wanted to lay this down real quick. A little over a month ago when I got this game I started up a blog like this and after a few posts it was locked for some reason. Within the past few weeks, i've seen a couple of different users on here doing the EXACT SAME THING that I was doing and they continue to post without getting there thread locked.

That being said, i'm not sure if the rules have changed since my thread got locked and if i'm allowed to post my own updates on here or not, but I really hope that's the case. I know there is a "WWE Universe thread" for people to update in, but for me it's a bit cluttered with EVERYONE posting about their own show, which is why I think it's a great idea for people who want to be able to post their own updates on a consistant basis to be allowed to have their own thread. I enjoy reading about other peoples' universe and I find it easier to read about when people have their own thread to follow instead of having ONE where everybody has to post in.

So as I stated, i'm hoping that this won't get locked again as it will serve as my own personal "updates blog" for my WWE Universe. Up next i'll just tell you guys a bit about how this is going to play out. Stay tuned!

Real quick...

This is the first WWE game I have purchased since WWE Smackdown: Here Comes the Pain on the PS2. That's gotta be, what, almost 10 years ago?! During that time span I haven't spent more than an hour or two at most watching wrestling all together. Personally, the characters and storylines just got really corny and predictable, and I hate how they have to censor so many things. Don't get me wrong, I get that they HAVE to do censor this stuff, but geez, try getting onto another TV network that will allow you to take some risks! I know that if they were able to take this and make it more "mature friendly" I would definitely give this another shot.

Anyway, i'm not here to bash the WWE. Obviously, I wouldn't be posting here if I didn't like the games. In fact, a little over a year ago I bought a Nintendo 64 off of someone just so I could play WWF No Mercy. That right there is one of my favorite childhood games. After hearing about all the great reviews about this game, I decided it was time to get back into it and check out the next-gen wrestling games and boy I have not been dissapointed!

So, here is the plan...

To start off, i'm going to keep this very simple. Remember, i've been out of the wrestling game for years, so any new superstars, alliances, rivalries, new commentators, storylines, anything like that...I HAVE NO IDEA WHATS GOING ON! So, my universe will be completely new. This is almost like a re-birth of the WWE. As I said for me personally, one way the WWE would attract my attention again is if they made their storylines triggered more towards mature audiences. That would make things seem more realistic and I feel it would open up many other doors to more interesting storylines. That's what I plan to do with....

MY UNIVERSE!
A rebirth of the WWE. Alliances/rivalries you thought you'd never see are certainly possible within my universe. Superstars you thought would never achieve a championship belt can finally be crowned champion. Storylines you thought would never be allowed on national television will definitely take place in this universe. WWE: The Rebirth!

Like I said to start off it will be simple. Two shows, RAW on Monday night and Smackdown! on Thursdays. One PPV per month, a mix of RAW and Smackdown superstars included in each months PPV.

I guess that's all you really need to know. I've gone over how this will be a completely brand new universe, a fresh start for the WWE and i've gone over how my shows will be split up. I plan to have an update or two up by tonight, if not definitely by tomorrow. Hope you guys enjoy what I have to offer. If their are any questions about anything i've said so far, ask away and i'll try to clarify!

Thanks for replying Scotch. YOU SIR, are actually the reason why I decided to post this again! I didn't wanna single you out in my original post because I didn't want to get anyone in trouble just in case we really aren't supposed to have our own thread about our universe. I don't see the problem either, which is why I don't understand why I had been locked. But, thanks for the reply and keep up the good work with yours!

I'll be reading Stevie. Already subscribed. Good luck. Will be nice seeing someone who hasn't followed the show in awhile and getting their perspective on their own story lines. Look forward to it.

Wow. Pretty much EXACTLY what I was going to start up here in the next few days... I am also a person who hasn't followed WWE in about 12 years and was planning on doing a "rebirth" of the WWE seeing as how I didn't know the current alliances and stars. I actually posted a thread a couple days ago asking the mods if it was OK to post our own blogs in this forum.

Way to steal my thunder man. lol.

Well who knows, maybe I will still do it and we can see how we each go in different directions with it.

haha, hey man still start one up! I like following these things and seeing what people can come up with! If you do decide to start yours up, i'll def follow!
