Re: Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 & 2 Impressions

The intro video is amazing
22 characters
Custom character is cool but not super super deep but still good you can wear a covid mask lol.

Graphics are gorgeous.

I couldnt steer with the stick in the demo, had to use dpad but I can use the stick in the full game.

It's so fitting that the playable characters are an even mix of dudes from the time of the original and skaters from this generation. Riley Hawk looks amazing.

I wasnt sure about the bail rewind animation in the demo but playing the retail I think it's quite fitting to the hectic pace of trying to complete a bunch of challenges in 2 minutes.

Theres 9 levels in thps1 and 8 in thps2

Can I kick it by Tribe called Quest just came on. One of my absolute favourite songs of all time.

I'm giddy as hell right now.

Only played for about 20 minutes, but man it took me back in time! The game felt like the original games with better graphics. It was nice to nail some of the old moves! I cannot wait to dig in tomorrow after work.

I got about 20-25 min in and unlocked three levels in the Tony Hawk 1 run. Had a blast doing it. Really felt like old times and something that has been sorely missed

I am shocked at how quickly my muscle memory from Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 came back. I haven't used that part of my brain since the first Underground game came out. In 2003.

Early impressions is that this game is a remaster done right. It is a joy to play, even if I can't throw down million-point combos like I used to hahaha. And the soundtrack is great, as is standard for these games.

This was my biggest take-a-way too. I started hitting combos and I was in heaven.

It really is exactly what it should be. A lot of time with a remastered game I feel like it's just an old game that looks better maybe smoother.

This game masterfully mixes old and new almost like they are ushering in a resurgence to the genre. The old school characters mixed with new. Old and new music that compliment the soundtrack so well. It's all just really cleverly done. I dont know if they plan on continuing to do this with Tony Hawk games but I feel like this game is going to be a big enough success to warrant it.
