So Old Gym is basically….

Where the PGs that can’t get a team to run with them go to play cause they’re are lonely? Lol

I can run 10 old gym games and literally 9/10 will have a PG dribbling and jacking side to side 3s.

I still get mine cause I’m a C but Jesus Christ i feel bad for you guards that have to watch that

Yes. And the matchmaking is awful too. It's mainly 95-99 overall Play Making Shot Creator point guards but I do see a mixture of other types of 95-99 guard builds at times. I tried it out on Saturday because my thinking was since it's 2XP day in the REC, maybe the 99 builds will be over there and us lower rated overall players can have the other venues today. Boy was I wrong.

Like c'mon man!!!! Shouldn't you be somewhere else today!! Sheeesh!

They need a venue where only lower rated players who are grinding to 99 can play together without having to face a 99 overall, $15,000 credit card balance, tattoo laced fashion icon.

Is it that big of a deal to grind your player a little bit in Mycareer before you hop online? Getting your badges, overal,l and gym rat, getting used to your build?

I've just never understood this argument, it will only make you play better in the long run.

I agree. And you exaggerating on that account balance. It takes like what, 50$ to max out.

I don't mind grinding. As a matter of fact that's what I'm doing. I haven't spent any money outside of the initial cost of the 75th Anniversary Edition. My only suggestion is that they should have venues where groups of overall players can play with each other like the 60's, the 70's, the 80's, and the 90's. They've added the old gym and some other places to play where you don't have to beg other players to run with you because they deem you as an undesirable.

And no matter how much you upgrade your player, if you're facing someone who's maxed out and also juiced up on Gatorade steroids and other boosts, and you're not juiced up, it still can be a challenge. And playing games in My Career don't necessarily prepare a player for the online lag and difference in gameplay.

You can be awesome in My Career and think, "Okay, I'm ready for online now." Then get online and experience the lag, the every time I shoot the ball it seems to be made of the same metal as the rim when it clanks, and the more experienced, juiced up players and it's a rude awakening.

I don't know which 2K you are playing but it's not 2K22. the 200,000 VC for $50 won't max out a player anymore. That's even with the 100,000 from the 75th Anniversary edition. I've earned that much from grinding and doing Quests.

I think it takes about 450,000 to 500,000 VC to max out a build. I saw some YouTube videos about it. So maybe get the $99 VC and you're good.

You're right that Mycareer doesn't get you ready for the online lag but at least your player will be leveled up. Then you can hop online and get used to the lag.

I've never understood that argument of not wanting to play high overall myplayers when there's nothing stopping you from getting yours to the same level. As far as Gatorade goes I've got close to an 80 win percent and I haven't bought Gatorade once. Just get a jump shot you're comfortable with then get online and practice.

They created the Old Gym and a couple other places for players to play with out having to be in a squad or having to beg high level players to run with them. That's a plus. It was a struggle to get someone to play with you if you weren't a certain level or in a squad on previous 2Ks. Most don't want to play with newcomers and lower rated players. So what's wrong with newcomers and lower rated players not wanting to play with them and also having the ability to play in their own venue?

It could be an Old Gym of Overall ratings too. 60's, 70's, 80's, 90's. It's just my own thought. But hey I get it. Go get your player attributes and badges up, learn the lag, and go play.
